Port of Vigo Authority: public information regarding the extension of the Flamingo concession
Por FactBox Admin

The Port Authority of Vigo is submitting for public information a request for the extension of the administrative concession held by Flamingo Vigo S.L. to occupy modules B1 and part of B2 in the Montero Ríos port area, in the Elduayen gardens, for the purpose of providing hospitality services. The announcement, signed by the director of the organization, Rubén Marín Gallego, in Vigo on October 28, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) no. 212, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, under official reference 2026076280. Affected parties have twenty business days to submit their allegations.
The text is included in the State Administration section of the provincial gazette, under the headings of Puertos del Estado, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, and the Port Authority of Vigo itself, within the section “Other documents, notifications and public information.” It is, therefore, a public exhibition procedure prior to the port organization’s decision on the concessionaire company’s request.
A hospitality concession in effect since 2015
The company is requesting to extend the term of a concession of which it is the holder by agreement of the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Vigo. The granting resolution is dated 10/30/2015, meaning that the occupation of the public port domain in Montero Ríos has been maintained for nearly eleven years.
The data appearing in the official announcement are as follows:
- Holding company: Flamingo Vigo S.L.
- CIF: B-27766252
- Granting body: Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Vigo
- Date of original resolution: 10/30/2015
- Occupied area: module B1 and part of module B2
- Location: Montero Ríos port area (Elduayen gardens)
- Use: provision of hospitality services
- Object of the request: extension of the term of the administrative concession
Twenty business days and extension for holidays
The period for allegations is twenty (20) business days and is counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the provincial gazette. The text itself specifies that, if the publication date were a Saturday or a holiday, the count shall be understood as extended until the next business day.
The public exhibition is open to any person who considers themselves affected by the intended extension, who must submit their allegations in writing within that period. Once the period has elapsed, it will be the responsibility of the port organization to resolve the concessionaire’s request.
Electronic office and consultation of the file
Allegations must be submitted through the electronic office of the Port Authority of Vigo, located at Praza da Estrela nº 1, in Vigo. The case documentation is available to the public on the organization’s portal, in the section for files subject to a public information period, the address of which is reproduced in the announcement itself.
The announcement is accompanied by a secure verification code that allows the integrity of the document to be verified at the office of the Deputación de Pontevedra, the publisher of the bulletin. The publication limits its content to reporting the request and the open procedure, without anticipating the nature of the resolution that the board of directors may adopt.
The decision directly affects the most visible urban surroundings of the port of Vigo: the Elduayen gardens, between Montero Ríos Avenue and Berbés, are a mandatory passage space between the city center and the piers. The extension of a hospitality concession in that location is of interest, in addition to the holding company, to the neighbors and groups who have been demanding a review of the uses and the intensity of occupation of that maritime facade, who may assert their positions during the public exhibition period now open.
