Autoridade Portuaria de Vigo: alegacións a dúas boias de amarre en Beiramar

The company Astilleros y Varaderos San Gregorio S.L. has requested an administrative concession from the Port Authority of Vigo to occupy 308 square meters of water surface located to the north of its facilities on Avenida Beiramar in Vigo, within the port’s service area. The announcement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) number 209, dated October 29, 2026, in section I (State Administration), under reference 2026075514. Starting from the day following the publication, a period of twenty business days is open for any person or entity that considers itself affected to present allegations.

The text disseminated by the Port Authority of Vigo falls under the heading of “other documents, notifications, and public information” and is headed by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and by Puertos del Estado. The announcement was signed in Vigo on October 13, 2026, by the director of the port authority, Rubén Marín Gallego, and includes the secure verification code WK3KBM0E85O10FZR to verify the integrity of the document.

This processing is not an isolated event. The same company has another open file in the same context: the one published in BOPPO number 192, dated October 6, 2026 (reference 2026071538), in which it requests a concession to occupy 15,578 square meters of land and 2,970 square meters of water surface on Avenida Beiramar, for purposes related to shipyard and dry dock activities. That other announcement, signed on September 29, 2026, is also subject to twenty business days for allegations.

What the shipyard is requesting and where

The specific request is summarized in a few data points, all collected in the official announcement:

  • Applicant: Astilleros y Varaderos San Gregorio S.L., with CIF B-36607836.
  • Surface area: Approximately 308 square meters of water surface.
  • Location: To the north of the company’s facilities on Avenida Beiramar in Vigo, within the service area of the port of Vigo.
  • Purpose: Installation of two mooring buoys for the shipyard’s own use.

The requested area is not land, but port water, meaning the concession would directly affect the water mirror located in front of the shipyard. The two mooring buoys would serve to secure vessels linked to the company’s activity, according to the purpose declared in the document.

Twenty business days and electronic office

The period for allegations is counted from the day following the publication in the BOPPO, that is, starting from October 30, 2026. If the last day falls on a Saturday or a holiday, the period would be understood as extended until the next business day, as specified in the announcement itself.

Allegations must be submitted electronically through the headquarters of the Port Authority of Vigo, located at Praza da Estrela number 1, in Vigo. The case documentation is available to the public at the link for files subject to the public information period on the port authority’s website (apvigo.es).

Other open files in the port of Vigo

The Beiramar announcement coincides with a sequence of port procedures published in the provincial bulletin in recent weeks:

  • Terminales Marítimas de Vigo S.L.U. “TERMAVI” (CIF B-36769321) requests to modify the concessional object and extend the term of a concession in the third alignment of the Arenal pier, with an area of 1,440 square meters for a warehouse and offices (BOPPO number 197, of October 13, reference 2026072580). The original concession was granted on 04/26/2013 and transferred by resolution of the Board of Directors on 01/30/2026.
  • The Vigo City Council requested a concession to occupy surface area and installations in the Teis area, intended for the wastewater treatment plant (BOPPO number 191, of October 5, reference 2026071208).
  • Embalajes Armando S.L. (CIF B-36664084) requests 121.50 square meters in the Berbés fishing port for the storage of auxiliary material, boxes, cages, and pallets (same number of October 5, reference 2026071211).

Why it matters

The concession affects the Beiramar port facade, one of the areas with the highest pressure from industrial and nautical uses in the port of Vigo, and comes a few days after another request from the same company for a much larger area in the same zone. The public information process is the only opportunity for third parties —competing companies, port users, or neighborhood groups— to record their objections before the port authority resolves the occupation of the water surface.
