Autol and Calahorra: new electrical distribution infrastructures

The Official Gazette of La Rioja (no. 164, of August 27, 2026) contains two electricity distribution actions affecting the region of Calahorra. On one hand, Resolution 1067/2026, of August 24, from the General Directorate of Enterprise, Energy and Internationalization, grants Electra de Autol, S.A. the prior administrative and construction authorization for a 13.2 kV underground line in Autol. On the other hand, the installation of fiber optics on the 66 kV overhead line between the Pradejón and Calahorra substations, promoted by I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U., is submitted for public consultation.

Underground line in Autol

The resolution, issued under Law 24/2013, of December 26, on the Electricity Sector, and Royal Decree 1955/2000, authorizes the new 13.2 kV medium-voltage underground line, single circuit, which links the transformation center CT ‘Albullón’ with CT ‘Corral de Godón’, with a ducting of 1,053 meters.

• Route through the streets of Barrera, Travesía Ezquerro, Carretera de Arnedo, Puente y Cueva, and Corral de Godón.
• An empty pipe from the existing underground ducting will be reused for the layout of the new cable.

No allegations were presented during the public consultation period, and favorable conditional reports from the General Directorate of Culture and the General Directorate of Infrastructure are on record. The commissioning period is three years from notification, extendable by one year.

Fiber optics between Pradejón and Calahorra

In the announcements section, public consultation is opened for the request for prior administrative and construction authorization for the overhead fiber optic installation on the 66 kV high-voltage overhead line between STR Pradejón and STR Calahorra (supports 44 to 52), in order to provide continuity and connection between substations.

• Length of the overhead section: 1,146 meters, with fiber optic cable FOADK 90/0.
• Replacement of supports 51, 49, and 47 with new Series 1 metal lattice supports, type 61T138.
• Replacement of conductor LA-95 with 100-AL1/17-ST1A in the three spans between supports 52 and 47, with a length of 556 meters.

Deadlines and procedures

The project may be examined at the Industry, Trade and Energy Transition Service, at Marqués de la Ensenada street, 13-15 in Logroño, and in electronic format on the website www.larioja.org. Claims may be submitted within thirty business days from the publication of the announcement, referring to file AT/2521002.

Both resolutions, signed by the Director General of Business, Energy, and Internationalization, Amadeo Lázaro Fernández, reinforce the distribution network of the Calahorra region, improving the quality of the electricity supply and telecommunications connectivity between substations, with the resulting benefit for homes and businesses in the area.
