Atarfe announces the seventh edition of its youth creation awards

The Atarfe City Council has approved the VII Call for the Creation of Atarfe Material 2026, endowed with six prizes of 500 euros each and aimed at the young population of the municipality between 16 and 35 years old. The call is formalized through Resolution 1900/2026, dated September 22, 2026, signed by the mayor Yolanda Fernández Morales, and its extract is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada number 185, dated Thursday, September 24, 2026, with the official reference BOP-GRA-2026-185005. Interested parties have 20 calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement.

The extract is disseminated in accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and refers to the full text deposited in the National Subsidy Database under the identifier BDNS 931060. The announcement bears extract number 221412 and registration number 2026049255, and is part of the activity that the council’s Department of Youth has been developing in previous calls.

Object and participants

The call regulates the granting of the “VII Call for the Creation of Atarfe Material 2026” prizes, aimed at young people who present a material creation project on any topic: leisure and free time, culture, new technologies, equality between men and women, environment, or health, among others. The stated objective is to recognize the ingenuity, skills, abilities, and talent of the municipality’s young population.

The following may participate:

• Young people from 16 to 35 years old, i.e., born between 1991 and 2010.
• Persons registered as residents in the municipality of Atarfe.
• A single project per person.

Persons who have been beneficiaries of this subsidy in three of the six calls implemented by the Department of Youth of the Most Excellent City Council of Atarfe are excluded.

Material requirements and submission

The material must be original by at least 80% and cannot be simultaneously competing in other contests. If it incorporates texts, images, or resources from third parties—up to 20%—the express authorization of their authors will be necessary. Content with sexist, xenophobic, racist, homophobic connotations, or offensive toward people or institutions will be excluded, and the work must include the Atarfe City Council logo, a mention of the Department of Youth, and the Provincial Council of Granada logo.

Submission is made in digital format—text, audiovisual, photographic, or audio—on a USB drive, without online service URLs and without the author’s personal data. Applications are submitted to the General Registry of the Atarfe City Council, using the forms available on the municipal website, and include:

• Annex I: application form.
• Annex II: project template, without personal data.
• Annex III: responsible declaration of originality and absence of previous awards.
• Material on digital media, inside a closed and sealed envelope with two inner envelopes, “A” (personal data) and “B” (project), deposited in a registry ballot box.

Assessment, awards, and jury

Projects are evaluated using a rubric of five criteria scored from 1 to 3: youth interest, format, novelty, attention to diversity, and feasibility. In the event of a tie, the highest score in the novelty criterion shall prevail. The jury, appointed by the mayor and mostly linked to youth or the themes of the call, may not apply as a participant and may seek technical advice or discard proposals lacking sufficient merit.

The six highest-scoring materials will receive 500.00 euros per project and a diploma of recognition, subject to the corresponding legal withholdings. If six projects are not reached, the amount will be cumulative and distributed proportionally among those submitted and evaluated. The jury’s proposal will be submitted to the mayor for approval by resolution, will be published on the Notice Board (Tablón de Edictos) and on the municipal electronic office, and will be notified to the winners, who will present their material at the award ceremony.

The call reinforces municipal support for the cultural and digital production of the youth of Atarfe, with a total allocation of up to 3,000 euros and a regulated competitive bidding procedure. For readers between 16 and 35 years old registered in the municipality, the period open until October 14, 2026, is the direct route to finance and disseminate their creative projects.
