Asturias reparte 99.478 euros entre 29 asociaciones de mujeres para la igualdad

The Regional Ministry of Presidency, Demographic Challenge, Equality and Tourism of the Principality of Asturias has resolved the 2026 call for grants to women’s associations to support the associative movement, with a total award of 99,478.74 euros to 29 entities. The decision is formalized in the Resolution of October 19, 2026, signed by the regional minister Gimena Llamedo González, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) no. 206, of October 23, 2026, with reference Code 2026-08645.

A call for 115,000 euros and 31 projects

The procedure began with the Resolution of February 11, 2026, which initiated the processing under a competitive bidding regime, and was specified in the Resolution of April 14, 2026, whose extract was published in BOPA no. 84, of May 5, 2026. The expenditure allocated to the call amounted to 115,000 euros.

Following the closing of the submission period on May 27, 2026, 32 associations submitted 31 projects, as one of them was co-organized by the Colectivo de Mujeres Alameda and the Asociación de Mujeres por la Igualdad del Valle del Nalón. No late applications were recorded.

The evaluation was carried out by the Evaluation Commission, whose members were appointed by Resolution of August 19, 2026 (BOPA no. 170, of September 2, 2026) and which met on September 2, 2026, applying the criteria of the thirteenth base of the Resolution of May 28, 2021 (BOPA no. 113, of June 14, 2021).

Two distribution tiers and remaining balance

The distribution was organized into two budgetary tiers, with maximum grant percentages based on the size of the project:

  • Projects up to 1,000 euros: 10,000 euros to be distributed, with 100% of the budget eligible for subsidy.
  • Projects from 1,000.01 to 7,000 euros: 105,000 euros, increased by the 7,000 euros remaining from the first tier to 112,000 euros.
  • In the second tier, 100% for projects up to 2,500 euros and 90% for those between 2,500.01 and 7,000 euros.

In the first tier, 3,000 euros were granted to three associations, 1,000 euros each, all with the project “Formation of women’s networks for health”: Asociación de Mujeres Mayores Fuente La Regallina, Asociación de Amas de Casa de Sariego, and Asociación de Mujeres Conceyar. In the second tier, 96,478.74 euros were awarded, with amounts ranging from 1,350 euros for the Asociación Jucal Las Calís de la Sierra to 6,300 euros for entities such as Xurtir, Latrébede, Muyeres Pachamama, Taller Barvalipén, Mujeres Libres y Combatativas de Asturias, Mujeres Campesinas de Asturias, Empresa Mujer ASEM, or the Asociación Feminista de Asturias «Clara Campoamor»-AFA.

The result is a surplus of 15,521.26 euros over the authorized credit. The resolution clarifies that Colectivo de Mujeres Alameda, Asociación de Mujeres por la Igualdad del Valle del Nalón, Jucal Las Calís de la Sierra, Mujeres con Tiempo Propio, and Amamantar were assigned the requested amount even though they would have been entitled to a higher amount.

Three denied requests

Annex II lists the three requests excluded from the evaluation and denied:

  • Asociación Raíz Violeta (AYUD/2026/70729): withdrawn for failure to submit the required documentation.
  • Asociación Factoría F5 (AYUD/2026/86156): does not meet the requirement of being a women’s association.
  • Asociación de Mujeres Parroquia de Naraval (AYUD/2026/86261): does not prove one year of registration in the Registry of Associations of the Principality of Asturias.

Advance payment and justification until January 2027

Payment will be made in a single advance payment following the resolution, without the need to provide guarantees. Beneficiaries must submit the simplified justification account, including annexes III and IV, before January 31, 2027, with only expenses from the 2026 fiscal year being admitted via service file code AYUD0070T02. The expenditure is charged to item 11.03.323B.484.042 (PEP 2004/001687) of the 2026 regional budgets.

Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, an appeal for reversal may be filed with the counselor within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Asturias within two months.

The distribution confirms the weight of the rural and regional women’s associative fabric in Asturias: 29 entities from across the Principality receive funding for workshops, forums, health campaigns, and memory and empowerment projects, although the call leaves 15,521.26 euros of the budgeted 115,000 unassigned.
