Asturias publishes the polling stations and electoral venues for the November general elections
Por FactBox Admin

The National Statistics Institute, through the Asturias Electoral Census Office, has published the list of sections, polling stations, and electoral venues for the province of Asturias for the elections to the Congress of Deputies and the Senate on Sunday, November 29, 2026. The announcement appears in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias number 197, dated October 12, 2026, with the official reference 2026-08339, and was signed in Oviedo on October 9 by the Provincial Delegate of the Electoral Census Office. Asturian voters have six days from this publication to file claims against the delimitation before the Provincial Electoral Board.
The call for elections derives from Royal Decree 806/2026, of October 5, which dissolves the Congress of Deputies and the Senate and sets the voting date for November 29. The publication is supported by article 24.2 of Organic Law 5/1985 of the General Electoral Regime, which requires the listing of sections, polling stations, and venues for each province.
The list occupies 148 pages of the gazette and covers the 78 Asturian municipalities, from Allande to Yernes y Tameza, under the closing identifier “000051701 GENERAL ELECTIONS NOVEMBER 29 2026” and with the province coded as 33.
What the list contains
Each line of the list identifies the polling station with a series of standardized data:
- District, section, and polling station number, with its distribution letter.
- Alphabetical range assigned to the station (for example, A-Z, A-G, H-Z, A-I, or J-Z).
- Electoral venue code, a nine-digit numerical identifier.
- Name of the venue and its full address, including municipality and postal code.
The list includes both large-scale venues, such as university faculties and sports pavilions, as well as rural one-room schools and ground floors of town halls, reflecting the territorial dispersion of the Principality.
Deadlines and claims
The calendar set by the announcement itself is as follows:
- Six days from publication to claim against the delimitation before the Provincial Electoral Board (article 24.3 of Organic Law 5/1985).
- The final list will be disseminated on the Internet by the Electoral Census Office and will be displayed to the public in town halls within the ten days prior to the voting date (article 24.4).
- The street map segments included in each electoral section can be consulted at the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office in Asturias and in the town halls.
Examples of published venues
- Allande: Basements of the Town Hall, at 2 Donato Fernández Street, and the school buildings of Berducedo, Celón, and Argancinas.
- Gijón: Laviada School, I.E.S. Doña Jimena, Asturias School, Evaristo Valle School, and the «Antiguo Instituto» Culture Center.
- Oviedo: Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Psychology, La Ería Public School, Pablo Miaja Public School, and the Naranco Social Center.
- Yernes y Tameza: Villabre Socio-Health Center, at La Square, the only venue in the council.
The publication affects the entirety of the Asturian electoral census, which must verify at which table and venue they are assigned to vote and, if applicable, file a claim before the delimitation is closed. Once the six-day period has passed without claims, the list becomes definitive and serves as the reference for the constitution of the polling stations on voting day.
