Asturias allocates one million euros to renew polluting vehicles
Por FactBox Admin

The Principality of Asturias will provide a subsidy of 2,400 euros for the purchase of new cars and vans that reduce emissions, as part of a call for applications endowed with one million euros. The measure, promoted by the Regional Ministry of Science, Industry and Employment, is published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) no. 188, dated September 29, 2026, with the official reference 2026-07931. Applications may be submitted for two months starting from the day following said publication.
The published text is an extract from the Resolution of September 24, 2026, of the Regional Ministry of Science, Industry and Employment, which approves the 2026 call for the granting of subsidies to natural persons for the improvement of the safety of certain motor vehicle fleets and the reduction of their pollutant emissions. The call is based on Order CIE/1/2026, of May 18, 2026, published in the BOPA of May 26, 2026, which establishes the regulatory bases, and appears in the National Subsidy Database with the identifier 931824.
The management of the procedure corresponds to a collaborating entity. The Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Oviedo (NIF Q3373001A) was designated for this function through the Resolution of July 28, 2026, published in BOPA no. 163, of August 24, 2026, after being the only entity to apply in the selection process.

- Natural persons, including those who carry out economic activities (self-employed), registered in a municipality of the Principality of Asturias for a period equal to or greater than 12 months prior to the date of the application.
- Legal entities are expressly excluded, regardless of whether they carry out economic activities.
- Each natural person may only receive aid to acquire one (1) vehicle of any of the provided classes.

- The eligible period spans from that publication until December 31, 2026.
- The grant is processed under a simplified competitive procedure, with the temporal priority of applications as the sole evaluation criterion, based on the date and time of complete submission to the Registry.
- The application is formalized through the electronic office of the Principality of Asturias using the form associated with code AYUD0583T01; the justification is carried out using form AYUD0583T02 within one month from the notification of the award resolution.
- Payment is made to a validated bank account in the name of the applicant.
- For beneficiaries who carry out economic activity, the grants fall under the de minimis regime of Regulation (EU) 2023/2831, with a limit of 300,000 euros in any three-year period.
The call provides a direct, fixed-amount incentive for Asturian households and self-employed workers, who can cover part of the cost of a new, less polluting vehicle. The distribution based on the order of application arrival makes speed of submission a decisive factor, as the allocated one million euros will be exhausted once the available credit is completed.
