ASIC moves to strike three foreign companies off the register

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) will strike three foreign companies off the register three months after the publication of a notice in the ASIC Gazette No. A41/26 of Tuesday 13 October 2026, unless it is given acceptable reason not to proceed. The notice, issued under Section 601CL(4) of the Corporations Act 2001 and dated 9 October 2026, names JSP Logistics Limited, Muthusiva Inc. and Neustar International Services, Inc. It appears on page 76 of 78 of the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette.

The three companies facing removal

The notice lists the companies by name and ARBN, the identifier under which foreign bodies are recorded:

  • JSP Logistics Limited — ARBN 100 140 850
  • Muthusiva Inc. — ARBN 682 294 480
  • Neustar International Services, Inc. — ARBN 643 290 359

The wording is standard for this class of notice: ASIC “will strike the foreign companies listed below off the register three months after the publication of this notice, unless given acceptable reason not to proceed.” With publication on 13 October 2026, that window closes in mid-January 2027.

A register already being cleared

The same edition records the other half of the process. Under Section 601CL(5), ASIC states that it has already struck five foreign companies off the register, in a notice also dated 9 October 2026:

  • Business Finland Oy — ARBN 634 802 216
  • Geoffrey Nathan Consulting Inc. — ARBN 094 527 367
  • Goodman US Finance Eight, LLC — ARBN 696 888 007
  • Jagri Sdn. Bhd. — ARBN 660 576 705
  • Value Partners Hong Kong Limited — ARBN 154 440 267

Read together, the two notices show the removal of foreign bodies as a rolling administrative process rather than a single event: one list announces who is about to go, the next confirms who has gone.

Managed schemes and other changes

The deregistration section of the gazette is not limited to foreign companies. Under Subsection 601PA(3), ASIC may deregister iPartners Master Income Fund (ARSN 686 125 502) two months after publication. Under Subsection 601PB(2), a further 25 managed investment schemes face the same two-month deadline, among them BlackRock Global Core Equity Fund (Aust) (ARSN 667 813 612), Invesco True Balance Fund (ARSN 603 987 015) and Mercer Australian Shares Plus Fund (ARSN 114 026 167).

Separately, under Subsection 164(3), ASIC will alter the registration details of several companies one month after publication unless a court or the Administrative Appeals Tribunal prevents it. Among them, Baron Partners Limited (ACN 003 397 528) becomes Baron Partners Pty Ltd, and Carawine Resources Limited (ACN 611 352 348) becomes Carawine Resources Pty Ltd.

Rights of review

The gazette carries a standing notice that persons affected by certain decisions made by ASIC under the Corporations Act 2001 and other legislation it administers may have rights of review. ASIC points readers to Regulatory Guide 57, Notification of rights of review (RG57), and Information Sheet ASIC decisions – your rights (INFO 9).

For Australian businesses, the practical effect is a deadline. Any counterparty, creditor or customer of the three named companies has roughly three months from 13 October 2026 to put an acceptable reason to ASIC; after that, the companies leave the register and their standing as registered foreign bodies in Australia ends.
