ASIC moves to deregister thirteen managed investment schemes within two months

ASIC has given notice that it may deregister thirteen managed investment schemes two months after publication of the notice, unless it is given an acceptable reason not to proceed. The warning appears in the ASIC Gazette No. A39/26 of Tuesday 29 September 2026, under subsection 601PB(2) of the Corporations Act 2001, and is dated 24 September 2026. The schemes affected are managed by vehicles associated with Macquarie, ANZ, Mirova, PineBridge and Tyndall, among others.

The notice is a formal step in the scheme deregistration process administered by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. Under subsection 601PB(2) of the Corporations Act 2001, the regulator may deregister a registered managed investment scheme by publishing a notice in the gazette, provided the two-month objection period passes without an acceptable reason being given. Counting from the 29 September 2026 publication date, the earliest date on which the schemes could be removed from the register is 29 November 2026.

The thirteen schemes listed

Each scheme is identified in the notice by name and Australian Registered Scheme Number (ARSN):

  • ANZ OA Optimix Property Securities Trust — ARSN 104 468 411
  • Generations Fixed Interest No.1 Trust — ARSN 109 858 031
  • Generations International Equities No.1 Trust — ARSN 109 858 237
  • Generations International Equities No.2 Trust — ARSN 109 858 246
  • Generations Property No.1 Trust — ARSN 109 858 102
  • Macquarie Global Income Opportunities Fund — ARSN 107 266 615
  • Macquarie Global Value Equity Fund — ARSN 629 194 092
  • Macquarie Master Property Securities Fund — ARSN 090 077 866
  • Macquarie Property Securities Fund — ARSN 091 486 387
  • Macquarie Wholesale Property Securities Fund — ARSN 090 078 470
  • Mirova Global Sustainable Equity No. 2 Fund — ARSN 647 500 972
  • PineBridge Senior Floating Rate Income Fund — ARSN 616 715 854
  • Tyndall Australian Small Companies Fund — ARSN 665 798 747

Concentration by manager

Macquarie accounts for five of the thirteen schemes, the largest single block in the notice, spanning global income, global value equity and three property securities vehicles. The Generations trusts contribute four schemes, all fixed interest, international equities and property vehicles. The remaining four are held by ANZ, Mirova, PineBridge and Tyndall, one each.

Deregistration removes a scheme from the register of managed investment schemes. The notice is addressed to anyone with an interest in the vehicles, including members and creditors, who have the two-month window to put a reason to ASIC for the process not to proceed.

Other register notices in the same gazette

The same edition of the ASIC Gazette carries further register actions under the Corporations Act 2001:

  • Three foreign companies will be struck off the register three months after publication under section 601CL(4): AC Capital Market (V) Ltd., Deepgreen Metals ULC and Kowtow Clothing Limited.
  • Eight foreign companies have already been struck off under section 601CL(5), including Aqua Ceres Australia Water Fund LP, CurrencyFair Limited, Flinders Labuan (No. 1) Ltd., Flinders Labuan (No. 2) Ltd., Flinders Power Holdings GmbH, Foran Mining Corporation, Priscilla David Limited and Rimkus Consulting UK Limited.
  • Three companies will change type one month after publication under subsection 164(3): Cuprum Mining Pty Limited becomes Cuprum Mining Limited, Firstmac Holdings Limited becomes Firstmac Holdings Pty Ltd, and Morse Micro Pty. Ltd. becomes Morse Micro Ltd.

The notice matters to investors in the thirteen schemes because deregistration ends the scheme as a registered vehicle, and to the managers named because it signals the wind-up of products still carrying member money. Any party holding a reason to keep a scheme alive has until late November 2026 to raise it with ASIC.
