ASIC Moves to Deregister The Stables Property Fund in Two Months
Por FactBox Admin

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission may deregister The Stables Property Fund (ARSN 167 742 672) two months after the publication of a notice in the ASIC Gazette of Tuesday 27 October 2026. The notice, issued under subsection 601PB(2) of the Corporations Act 2001, appears on page 21 of Gazette No. A43/26 and is dated 23 October 2026. It states that ASIC may deregister the managed investment scheme “two months after the publication of this notice, unless given acceptable reason not to proceed”.
The notice and where it appears
The notice sits in the Company/scheme deregistrations part of the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette No. A43/26, the weekly official publication issued by ASIC and carrying the online ISSN 1445-6060. Its wording is standard for this power: ASIC announces that it may deregister the schemes listed below a fixed period after publication, and invites an acceptable reason not to proceed.
Under the heading CORPORATIONS ACT 2001, Subsection 601PB(2), the schedule presents a single line of data:
- Name of scheme: THE STABLES PROPERTY FUND
- ARSN: 167 742 672
- Deregistration trigger: two months after publication of the notice
- Date of the notice: 23 October 2026; published 27 October 2026
The Stables Property Fund is the only scheme named in this notice. No other scheme appears under subsection 601PB(2) in this issue of the gazette, so the two-month clock set by this publication applies to it alone.
A steady run of scheme deregistrations
The notice is part of a continuing series of managed investment scheme notices published by ASIC through October. In the previous week’s issue, Gazette No. A42/26 of 20 October 2026 listed four schemes under subsection 601PB(2), dated 16 October 2026, among them the Daintree Hybrid Opportunities Active ETF (ARSN 651 905 314), the Impax Global Opportunities Fund (ARSN 664 065 141), the Mainstream Separately Managed Account (ARSN 631 635 473) and the NovaPort Smaller Companies Fund (ARSN 094 601 475).
The issue before that, Gazette No. A41/26 of 13 October 2026, carried a much longer schedule under the same subsection, dated 9 October 2026. Its 25 entries included:
- Advance Defensive Yield Multi-Blend Fund (ARSN 166 771 875)
- BlackRock Global Core Equity Fund (Aust) (ARSN 667 813 612)
- Invesco True Balance Fund (ARSN 603 987 015)
- Mercer Australian Shares Plus Fund (ARSN 114 026 167)
- Milton Office Trust (ARSN 628 273 807)
- Multi-Manager Balanced Fund (ARSN 098 405 380)
That same issue also gave separate notice under subsection 601PA(3) for the iPartners Master Income Fund (ARSN 686 125 502).
Other bodies named in the same issue
The deregistration pages of Gazette No. A43/26 carry several further notices dated 23 October 2026, each with its own statutory clock:
- Under section 601CC(3), ASIC will strike The Dyslexia Association Inc. (ARBN 147 223 201) off the register three months after publication.
- Under section 601CC(4), ASIC has already struck Sea World Research & Rescue Foundation Inc. (ARBN 053 146 491) off the register.
- Under section 601CL(4), ASIC will strike Cyderes Inc. (ARBN 611 941 827) and Soltech New Zealand Limited (ARBN 114 333 416) off the register three months after publication.
- Under section 601CL(5), ASIC has struck Busy Bee Ventures Limited (ARBN 621 858 302) off the register.
The gazette also records, under subsection 164(3), that ASIC will alter the registration details of seven companies one month after publication unless a court or the Administrative Appeals Tribunal prevents it. They include Enzed Energy Pty Ltd (ACN 690 296 514), becoming Enzed Energy Limited, and Vigo Care (Holdco) Pty Ltd (ACN 645 835 098), becoming Vigo Care (Holdco) Limited.
What the deadline means for investors
The gazette reminds readers that persons affected by certain ASIC decisions may have rights of review, and points to Regulatory Guide 57 (RG57), Notification of rights of review, and information sheet INFO 9, ASIC decisions – your rights, for guidance on whether a right of review exists.
For holders of interests in The Stables Property Fund, the practical consequence is a hard date. The scheme’s continued registration now depends on ASIC being given an acceptable reason not to proceed before the two-month period that began with publication on 27 October 2026 runs out, which places the effective cut-off in late December 2026. Investors who believe the fund should stay on the register have that single window in which to put their case to the regulator; once the period expires and no acceptable reason has been received, the notice’s own terms allow ASIC to proceed with deregistration.
