Ascó inicia la cessió gratuïta de tres finques rústiques del polígon 29

The Plenary of the Ascó City Council, in its session on September 28, 2026, agreed to initiate the procedure for the free transfer of three municipally-owned rural properties located in polygon 29 of the district. The agreement is now published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on October 1, 2026, under reference CVE 2026-09066 and file number 2603/2026, opening a thirty-day period for any interested party to examine it and submit allegations.

The announcement, signed by the mayor-president Miquel Àngel Ribes Jornet on September 29, 2026, subjects the asset operation to a public information process. The transfer affects municipal heritage assets and is processed in accordance with Article 83 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, in relation to Article 211 of the Recast Text of the Municipal and Local Regime Law of Catalonia (Legislative Decree 2/2003, of April 28) and Article 49.3 of the Regulation of the Heritage of Local Entities (Decree 336/1988, of October 17).

Three rural properties in polygon 29

The assets included in the file are rural properties with a 100% ownership coefficient, without registered charges or encumbrances:

  • Plot 35 of polygon 29 (cadastral reference 43019A029000350000JR, part): agricultural use, no construction, currently without agricultural use.
  • Plot 124 of polygon 29 (cadastral reference 43019A029001240000JR): agricultural use, with a constructed irrigation pond.
  • Plot 41 of polygon 29 (cadastral reference 43019A029000410000JR): agricultural use, with a constructed irrigation pond.

All three are listed as “without use” regarding their state of conservation and have no charges or encumbrances.

Purposes: electrical energy and irrigation

The intended purpose is not the same for all properties. Plot 35 is intended for the production of electrical energy, according to the Plenary’s agreement. Plots 124 and 41, on the other hand, are intended for a pond: the announcement specifies that the property had already been transferred to the Irrigation Community, which has built the municipality’s first irrigation pond there.

The file does not identify the final beneficiary of the transfer nor the economic conditions of the operation in the published text, beyond the free nature of the transmission.

Public information and allegations

The file is submitted for public information for thirty days, counted from the day after the publication of the announcement in the provincial gazette. During this period, any natural or legal person may examine it, and those who consider themselves interested may appear and formulate allegations, suggestions, or claims.

The documentation will also be available to interested parties at the electronic office of the Ascó City Council (asco.eadministracio.cat). The announcement includes the validation code 3S9MEGCM3KFYQSQYZ9MP4PJY9.

The free transfer of municipal land for energy and irrigation uses comes within a context of debate regarding the occupation of the territory for electricity production facilities. For the residents of Ascó, the file opens a thirty-day period to learn the scope of the operation and to submit allegations before the Plenary resolves it definitively.
