As Pontes Emprende: 40,000 euros in aid for business creation

The City Council of As Pontes de García Rodríguez opens the call for applications for the As Pontes Emprende programme, with €40,000 in municipal grants for the creation of new businesses. The excerpt of resolution 1570/2026, adopted on 4 August 2026 by the acting mayor, Manuel Rodríguez López, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña (BOP) number 153, of 13 August 2026, as notice 2026/5298. Applications may be submitted until 30 September 2026.

The aim of the As Pontes Emprende programme is to encourage the creation of new business projects and foster economic activity within the municipality, thus contributing to job creation in As Pontes de García Rodríguez. The regulatory bases were approved by resolution 1570/2026 itself and published in BOP number 150, of 10 August 2026. The excerpt is disseminated in compliance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, General Subsidies Law, and the full text may be consulted in the National Database of Subsidies, where it appears under identifier BDNS 924198.

Amount and method of payment

The call distributes a total of €40,000, financed from two budgetary appropriations for the 2026 financial year:

• €15,000 charged to appropriation 2026.433.47000;
• €25,000 charged to appropriation 2026.433.77000.

The grant will be paid in a single instalment, once it has been verified that the supporting documentation accompanying the application is correct and conforms to the purpose of the aid. The justification must already form part of the documentation submitted together with the application.

Who can apply for the grants

The following new business projects undertaken within the municipal area of As Pontes de García Rodríguez may apply for the subsidies:

• individual entrepreneurs;
• small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), regardless of their legal form.

In both cases, the individuals or entities must have started their activity no more than five years prior to the date of publication of the call.

Deadline and application process

Applications must be submitted exclusively in electronic format through the electronic office of the City Council of As Pontes de García Rodríguez (sede.aspontes.com). The deadline opens on the day following the publication of the excerpt in the BOP of A Coruña, that is, 14 August 2026, and will remain open until 30 September 2026.

The grant is compatible with other aid from public or private entities. However, the amount of the municipal grant, in conjunction with other income, subsidies or aid, may not in any case exceed the cost of the activity justified by the beneficiary.

The call offers direct funding to anyone wishing to start or consolidate a business in the municipality, at a crucial time for entrepreneurship and local employment. Interested parties have approximately a month and a half to process their application, which must be submitted electronically before 30 September 2026.
