Arucas opens for public consultation the concession of a kiosk bar-cafeteria

The Most Excellent City Council of Arucas has initially approved the public domain concession file for the private use of a public domain space in the Plaza de San Pedro de Bañaderos, intended for the installation and operation of a bar-cafeteria kiosk. The decision was adopted by Decree number 4435, dated August 20, 2026, from the Mayor’s Office-Presidency, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas, number 102, dated August 26, 2026 (reference 1.770.378).

The agreement, which also approves the Technical Specifications and the Particular Administrative Clauses, is framed within the regime of assets of local entities. In compliance with article 87.4 of Royal Decree 1372/1986, of June 13, which approves the Regulations on Assets of Local Entities, the file is submitted for public information so that interested parties may examine it and submit allegations.

Object of the concession

The public domain concession grants the private use of a municipal public domain space in the Plaza de San Pedro de Bañaderos, in the municipality of Arucas, for the installation and operation of a kiosk intended for bar-cafeteria activities. The file incorporates the specifications that establish the technical and administrative conditions of the operation.

Period for allegations

The file remains open for public information for a period of thirty (30) business days, computed from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas. During this period, interested parties may:

• Examine the complete file.
• Submit allegations, claims, and suggestions.
• Access the documentation through the City Council’s Transparency Portal, available on its Electronic Office.

Processing and signature

The announcement, signed in the City of Arucas on August 24, 2026, closes the initial approval phase of the file. Once the public information process is concluded and any submitted allegations are resolved, the procedure will continue until the final award of the kiosk concession.

The opening of this process represents an opportunity for operators interested in local hospitality, while guaranteeing citizen participation in the management of the municipal public domain. The concession will provide a new bar-cafeteria service to the Plaza de San Pedro de Bañaderos, a meeting space in the municipality of Arucas.
