Arucas announces grants of 128,000 euros for clubs and athletes

The Arucas City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas the call for grants under a competitive bidding process for the municipality’s football clubs and individual athletes. The three calls, signed by Mayor Juan Jesús Facundo Suárez on August 28, 2026, have a combined budget of 128,000 euros and are published in issue number 105 of the gazette, dated September 2, 2026.

The grants are processed in accordance with the Specific Regulatory Ordinance for the Granting of Sports Subsidies, published in the BOP of Las Palmas number 19, dated February 12, 2020, and its correction of material error in number 8, dated January 18, 2021. The extracts of the three calls appear on pages 15445, 15448, and 15450 of the gazette.

Three modalities and 128,000 euros

The call is structured into three modalities with differentiated allocations:

• Modality A (registry 1793934): 46,000 euros for football sports clubs with a registered office in the municipality of Arucas, charged to budget application 03/340/48900.
• Modality B (registry 1794471): 72,000 euros for sports entities whose purpose is the practice of any sport other than football, with a registered office in Arucas, charged to the same budget application.
• Modality C (registry 1794757): 10,000 euros for individual athletes from the municipality, charged to budget application 03/340/48917.

Deadline and method of submission

Applications shall be made using the standardized form (ANNEX I) of the Specific Ordinance and submitted to the Municipal Registry or through any of the means indicated in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. The deadline is twenty calendar days, counting from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the BOP of Las Palmas.

The application, addressed to the Mr. Mayor-President of the Arucas City Council, shall be submitted via the electronic office. The full requirements and annexes can be consulted on the municipal website (www.arucas.org) and on the website of the National Grants Database.

Requirements and evaluation

To evaluate the applications and resolve the procedure, the following points shall be accredited, in accordance with article 6 of the Ordinance:

• Submission of the application in accordance with the model in ANNEX I.
• Certification of the number of teams and athlete licenses issued by the corresponding Federation.
• In Modality A, federation licenses shall correspond exclusively to categories equal to or lower than youth participating in official competitions, differentiating between male and female.
• Document from the banking entity with the identification codes and the account number where the grant amount will be paid, with accreditation of ownership.

The call for applications strengthens the local sporting fabric of Arucas by channeling public funds toward football clubs and other disciplines, as well as toward individual athletes in the municipality, through a transparent competitive bidding procedure. Interested entities and athletes have twenty calendar days from the publication of the summary to submit their applications.
