Architecture tenders for 5.428 billion the restoration of the Carelmapu church

The Architecture Directorate of the Los Lagos Region, under the Undersecretariat of Public Works of the Ministry of Public Works, has opened the electronic public tender for the restoration of the Church of Our Lady of Candelaria, in the town of Carelmapu, Maullín. The notice was published in Section IV of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile no. 44,588, on Monday, November 2, 2026, under official reference CVE 2890389 (p. 1). The official budget for the work amounts to $5,428,171,687 and the execution period is set at 750 days.

The contract is titled “Restoration of the Church of Our Lady of Candelaria - Carelmapu, Maullín LIC 2” and corresponds to civil works. It is tendered as a lump sum, without readjustment and without advances, and its financing comes from the Regional Budget of the Los Lagos Region through the FNDR. • Technical opening: January 5, 2027, at 9:31 AM.
• Economic opening: February 9, at 9:30 AM (the notice lists the year 2026 at this point).

Requirements for Participation

Contractors registered in the MOP Major Works Registry, in the second category, lower or upper, with category 6 O.C. in architectural works, may apply. The site visit is mandatory and will take place at the temple located at Ruta V 900 834 in Carelmapu.

The call is signed by the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Public Works of the Los Lagos Region.

The tender concentrates a significant amount of the regional investment budget and an execution period of more than two years into a single project, with labor and contractors summoned since November 2. For the province of Llanquihue and, in particular, for the town of Carelmapu, the process defines the schedule and the conditions under which a religious building of heritage value will be intervened, the restoration of which will be subject to the rules of the MOP Major Works Registry and the supervision of the Directorate of Architecture.
