Arjonilla publishes the final list of admitted candidates for labor personnel positions

The Arjonilla City Council (Jaén) has approved the final list of admitted and excluded applicants for the provision of several labor staff positions, through the competition system, corresponding to the extraordinary 2023 OEP (Public Employment Offer). The decision was adopted by Mayoral Resolution number 2026-0431, dated August 24, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 166, dated August 27, 2026, on page 13030.

The call affects dozens of applicants distributed across eight categories of vacant positions in the municipal workforce. The final list follows the publication of the provisional list on August 7 in BOP number 152, and after a period of ten business days of public exhibition on the electronic headquarters and on the City Council’s notice board for the correction of applications.

Positions and admitted applicants

In total, 27 applicants have been admitted, distributed among the different called categories:

• Gardening operator: 4 admitted.
• Plumbing operator: 1 admitted.
• Treatment plant maintenance operator: 2 admitted.
• Backhoe and construction machinery operator: 1 admitted.
• Assistant kindergarten teacher: 15 admitted.
• Public building maintenance janitor: 1 admitted.
• Sports monitor: 2 admitted.
• Pool maintenance: 1 admitted.

Excluded and reasons

In the Assistant kindergarten teacher category, 9 exclusions are recorded, based on two causes:

• Reason 1: failure to submit the required correction within the stipulated period.
• Reason 2: incomplete or incorrect payment of fees, as well as lack of correct accreditation of the fee reduction with updated or current documentation.

Qualifying tribunal and assessment of merits

The qualifying tribunal is constituted in accordance with articles 23 and 24 of Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, with the following composition:

• President: titular, Juan Cardeña Jalón; substitute, Miguel Ángel Díaz Carmona.
• Members: titulars Sara Amaro Bueno, María José Segado Garrido, and Francisca Ruz Díaz, with their respective substitutes.
• Secretary (with voice and vote): titular, M.ª Luisa Gómez Lara; substitute, Andrés Javier Fernández Salazar.

The constitution of the tribunal and the assessment of the submitted merits will take place on September 8, 2026, at 09:30 hours at the premises of the Arjonilla City Council. The remaining announcements of the call will be published on the Corporation’s notice board and on the municipal electronic headquarters.

The resolution, signed by Mayor Luis Miguel Carmona Maroto, represents a decisive step toward stably filling essential positions within municipal services, ranging from the maintenance of infrastructure and public spaces to educational care in the kindergarten. For the admitted candidates, the appointment on September 8 opens the final phase of a process that will allow for the consolidation of public employment in the municipality.
