Argamasilla de Calatrava appoints three local police officers as career civil servants

The City Council of Argamasilla de Calatrava has appointed three new officers of the Local Police Force as career civil servants, thereby closing the selection process corresponding to the 2025 public employment offer. The decision was adopted via Mayoral Decree No. 380/2026, dated September 30, 2026, and was made public in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real (BOP) number 191, dated October 5, 2026, in the Local Administration, City Councils section.

The announcement, with insertion number 3194, is located on page 37 of the gazette and carries the Secure Verification Code DGAFoJGCHLpuDVgTL6sP. The resolution is signed by the mayor, Jesús Manuel Ruiz Valle, and dated in Argamasilla de Calatrava on October 1, 2026.

The three new officers

The appointments are granted to the following individuals, identified in the announcement with their personal data partially protected:

• Antonio Navas Ruedas, with D.N.I. no. *0948.
• Elisa Isabel Gómez Gómez, with D.N.I. no. *7972.
• José Carranza Bravo, with D.N.I. no. *8017.

All three enter as Local Police of the Basic Scale, within the Special Administration, Special Services Sub-scale, Local Police Class. These are, therefore, new entry positions filled permanently, not through mobility or internal promotion.

The legal framework of the appointment

The publication is carried out for the purposes provided for in article 25.2 of Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10, which approves the General Regulation for the Entry of Personnel into the service of the General State Administration and the Provision of Job Positions and Professional Promotion of Civil Servants of the General State Administration.

The competent body is the Mayoral-Presidency of the council, which issues the decree once the selection process to permanently fill three positions of the Local Police Force of the Most Excellent City Council of Argamasilla de Calatrava has concluded. The positions were included in the 2025 public employment offer, so that with this resolution, the definitive incorporation of the selected candidates is completed.

Reinforcement of the police force in 2026

The appointment is added to other municipal actions of the same fiscal year aimed at reinforcing the force’s staff. On September 10, 2026, by Mayoral Decree No. 332/2026, José Carlos Amor Espinosa was appointed as a career civil servant in the Basic Scale, Police category, following a provision process via the mobility system.

In parallel, the city council maintains an open internal promotion process to fill a position as an Officer of the Local Police Force, whose testing schedule was adjusted by Mayoral Decree No. 335/2026, dated September 11, 2026. These actions depict a police force in renewal and growth during 2026.

Impact for the municipality

With the swearing-in of the three new officers, Argamasilla de Calatrava consolidates three structural public safety positions that until now were in the process of being filled. The publication in the BOP provides publicity and effectiveness to the appointment and opens the period for interested parties and third parties to become aware of the resolution, guaranteeing the transparency of the selection procedure.
