Argés nombra funcionarios de carrera a dos nuevos policías locales

The Argés City Council has appointed two new officers of the municipality’s Local Police Force as career civil servants through Mayoral Decree 1418/2026, dated October 1. The resolution is published in the Official Gazette of the province of Toledo number 190, dated October 5, 2026, within the City Councils section, under reference No. I.- 4563. With these two appointments, the positions included in the 2025 Public Employment Offer are now filled.

The announcement is made public in compliance with Article 62.1.b) of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Law of the Basic Statute of Public Employees, a provision that requires the publication of appointments for career civil service personnel. The decree was signed in Argés on October 1, 2026, by the First Deputy Mayor, Carlos Manuel Martín Querencia, acting by delegation of the mayor conferred through Mayoral Decree 1365/2026, of September 23.

The two positions belong to the Police category of the Local Police Force of the Argés City Council, and their filling is part of the selection process derived from the employment offer approved for the 2025 fiscal year. The publication in the provincial gazette provides official publicity to the act and begins the count for the challenge periods provided for in administrative regulations.

The two new officers

The decree identifies the two appointed career civil servants and the positions they will occupy within the municipal staff:

  • Fátima Cuellar Mora, with ID *8094, assigned to the position with code 01 02 02.
  • Juan Manuel Navarro Rodríguez, with ID *9921, assigned to the position with code 01 02 04.

Both appointments correspond to the Police category of the Local Police Force of the Argés City Council, within the positions included in the 2025 Public Employment Offer.

The resolution is issued under Article 62.1.b) of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, which regulates the publication of career civil servant appointments once the selection process has been completed and the requirements demanded in the call have been verified. The act exhausts the administrative route, in accordance with the provisions of Article 52 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Government.

The decree is signed by delegation of the Mayor, a formal authorization established through Mayoral Decree 1365/2026, of September 23, which delegated all mayoral functions to the First Deputy Mayor during the period between October 1 and October 10, 2026, both inclusive.

Challenge periods

Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, interested parties have the following means of appeal:

  • Optional appeal for reconsideration (recurso potestativo de reposición) before the Mayor of Argés, within a period of one month starting from the day following its publication in the Official Gazette of the province of Toledo, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
  • Contentious-administrative appeal, within a term of two months, in accordance with articles 2, 8, 25, and 46 of Law 29/1998, of June 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction.

The announcement includes the verification code 2026.00004563, which allows the authenticity of the published document to be verified through the electronic office of the Provincial Council of Toledo.

The reinforcement of the municipal police staff with two career civil servants consolidates the structure of the Local Police Force of Argés and effectively fulfills the positions committed in the 2025 Public Employment Offer, a relevant step for the municipality as it makes permanent two positions that until now were in the process of being filled.
