Por FactBox Admin

The Archena City Council has initially approved the register of the Economic Activities Tax (IAE) for fiscal year 2026, according to the announcement published in the Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM) number 187, of 14 August 2026, with reference NPE A-140826-4033. The register is exposed to the public for one month, and payment in the voluntary period may be made from 7 August to 4 December 2026.
The Municipal Government Board of the Archena council adopted the agreement at its ordinary session of 5 August 2026, with the document being made available to interested parties at the Tax Management Department. The measure affects all self-employed workers and companies with activity in the municipality, who must verify their data and comply with the tax collection schedule.
Public exhibition and avenues of appeal
During the one-month exhibition period, taxpayers may examine the register and, if they deem it appropriate, file an appeal for reconsideration with the same body that issued the agreement, in accordance with Article 14 of Royal Decree 2/2004, of 5 March (consolidated text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries), Article 108 of Law 7/1985, of 2 April, on the Bases of Local Government, and Articles 22 and following of Law 58/2003, of 17 December, the General Tax Law.
- Filing the appeal does not suspend the execution of the challenged act.
- Against the resolution of the appeal, an administrative contentious appeal may be filed directly within two months.
- Publication of the edict has the effects of collective notification provided for in Article 102.3 of Law 58/2003.
- If no appeals are filed within the stated terms, the register will become final.
Tax collection schedule
The agreement sets the key dates for payment of the IAE corresponding to 2026:
- Voluntary payment period: from 7 August to 4 December 2026, both inclusive.
- Direct debit of domiciled receipts: 9 October 2026.
- Once the voluntary period has elapsed, outstanding debts will be collected through the enforcement procedure, with the surcharges of the enforcement period under Article 28 of Law 58/2003, late payment interest and, where applicable, the costs incurred.
Where to pay and how to obtain the receipt
The payment document will be sent to each taxpayer’s address. Those who do not receive it or have lost it may collect a duplicate, before the deadline, at the Revenue and Levies Department of the Archena City Council, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Payment shall be made by presenting the payment document at any of the collaborating entities listed on it or through their respective electronic offices.
The publication, signed by the mayor-president, Patricia Fernández López, on 5 August 2026, turns the announcement into a collective notice for the taxpayers of the municipality. Knowing the calendar and meeting the deadlines is essential for self-employed workers and businesses in Archena, thus avoiding surcharges and costs arising from the enforcement procedure.
