Arbo opens bidding for two vacant stalls in the municipal market

The Arbo City Council is tendering the vacant stalls of the local Municipal Food Market, according to the announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) no. 195, Friday, October 9, 2026, within the Local Administration section. The call is processed under file 390/2026 and establishes a concession of ten years, extendable for five more up to a maximum of fifteen. The deadline for submitting bids is fifteen calendar days.

The announcement is signed by Mayor Horacio Gil Expósito in Arbo on September 28, 2026, and is based on Article 18, Chapter IV, of the Regulations of the Municipal Food Market of the Arbo City Council. The specifications of technical and administrative requirements governing the service were approved and published in BOPPO no. 139, July 23, 2026, which includes the table upon which bidders must bid upwards.

The offered stalls and the conditions of the concession

The official list of vacant spaces open for competition is as follows:

• Stalls 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10 of the Municipal Food Market of Arbo.

The economic and duration conditions set in the announcement are:

• Concession term of 10 years.
• Extension of 5 more years, with a total maximum of 15 years.
• Type of upward bidding by the bidders, according to the table of the specifications approved in BOPPO no. 139, July 23, 2026.
• Definitive guarantee of 3% of the award price, in case of award.

How and where to submit bids

Interested parties must submit their proposals in a sealed envelope, according to the model appearing in the specifications of administrative clauses and particular technical requirements. The deadline is 15 calendar days counted from the day following the publication of the tender announcement on the Public Sector Contracts Platform.

The envelopes must be identified on the outside with the indication of the lot they are competing for and signed by the bidder, with their name and surnames. The admitted submission channels are:

• The Public Sector Contracts Platform, in a sealed envelope.
• The General Registry of the Arbo City Council, in person, from 9 am to 1 pm, Monday to Friday.

When documentation is sent by mail, the bidder must justify the date of posting at the Post Office and notify the contracting body of the submission of the bid via telex, fax, or telegram on the same day. Submission by email will only be valid if there is evidence of transmission and reception, with their dates and the full content of the communications, and if the sender and recipient are reliably identified; in that case, the communication should be addressed to oficinas1.concellodearbo@gmail.com. If the documentation is not received within ten days following the indicated date, it will not be admitted under any circumstances.

Publication fee and consultation of the file

The announcement includes the self-assessment of the fee for advertisements to be published in the provincial bulletin, payable by the Concello de Arbo, with address at Praza Consistorio, 1, Arbo. The assessment details:

• Text in Spanish or Galician, 19 lines at 1.55 euros: 29.45 euros.
• VAT of 16%: 6.18 euros.
• Total to be paid: 35.63 euros.

The tender opens the possibility to reactivate commercial spaces in a municipal proximity service and to establish, for a decade, or fifteen years in case of extension, the operation of the food market stalls.
