Arahal opens grants for federated athletes with high-performance status

The Arahal City Council has published the call for grants intended for federated athletes registered as residents in the town, from the sub-12 category to senior, with a fixed quota of €300 per season for those who prove high-performance status. The call is disseminated through extract no. 220472 of the general bases, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville number 176, dated Thursday, September 10, 2026, with official reference BOP-SE-2026-176004.

The bases were approved by Mayoral Decree no. 2026-2483, dated August 13, 2026, signed by the Mayor-President, Francisco Brenes Gamboa, and are framed within Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies. Beneficiaries and requirements

Federated athletes in categories from sub-12 to senior who participate in official competitions and meet the following requirements may apply for the grant:

• Be registered as residents in the municipality of Arahal, or prove through a historical registration certificate to have been born or to have been registered as residents in the town.
• Be in possession of the federative license corresponding to any of the last three sports seasons.

Excluded are those who have been convicted by a final judgment to the loss of the possibility of obtaining subsidies, those who have a pending reimbursement of a grant, athletes sanctioned in doping processes, those who are not up to date with their tax obligations or with Social Security, and those who do not participate in federated competitions, as well as those who fall under the prohibition causes of article 13 of Law 38/2003.

Two categories of aid

The call distinguishes two categories of beneficiaries:

• Category A: Elite or High-Performance athletes, recognized as such by the Higher Sports Council and/or the Ministry of Education and Sport of the Regional Government of Andalusia. They receive a fixed quota of €300.00 per season or calendar year, plus the valuation of sporting achievements achieved in a single category.
• Category B: the rest of the federated athletes in the mentioned categories, whose score depends on the sporting achievements obtained in official competitions of their federation.

In both cases, only official events of the respective federation are scored, and points cannot be accumulated if the athlete participates in several categories; the applicant shall indicate the category they wish to be evaluated in.

Deadline and submission of applications

The submission period is 15 business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the BOP of Seville. Applications may be submitted at the General Registry of the City Council or through the electronic office (https://arahal.sedelectronica.es), without prejudice to the provisions of article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure. The Municipal Delegation of Sports will post the call on the notice boards and on the official website www.arahal.es.

The call represents a direct boost to the local sporting community of Arahal, by providing financial recognition for the activity of federated athletes and encouraging their participation in official competitions, with specific treatment for those who achieve high performance. The 15-business-day period requires interested parties to process their applications promptly following the publication in the provincial bulletin.
