Aragón resuelve con 200.000 euros las ayudas a giras escénicas de 2026

The Department of Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport of the Government of Aragon has resolved the 2026 call for grants for the performing arts in the category of tours and performances outside of Aragon, endowed with 200,000 euros and with 34 applications received, all of which were admitted for meeting the required criteria. The decision is formalized in Order PJC/1521/2026, of October 9, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 206, of October 23, 2026, with reference BOA20261023026.

The call was structured through Order ECD/537/2026, of March 25 (BOA number 68, of April 10, 2026), under the regulatory bases established by Order ECD/1248/2022, of September 6, and the exclusive competence in cultural matters that article 71.43.ª of the Statute of Autonomy of Aragon (Organic Law 5/2007, of April 20) attributes to the Autonomous Community. The global amount of the call amounted to 915,000 euros, divided into three categories: 515,000 euros for show production, 200,000 euros for tours and performances outside of Aragon, and 200,000 euros for programming in private exhibition halls.

The application period was ten business days, between April 13 and April 27, 2026. The Evaluation Commission met on July 15, 2026, and evaluated the 34 projects according to the criteria of the eighteenth section of the call; the General Directorate of Culture and Cultural Heritage, as the instructing body, formulated a provisional proposal on July 21 and a final proposal on August 7. The favorable prior audit by the Government of Aragon’s Comptroller took place on September 23, 2026.

A distribution that runs out at 83 points

The credit was distributed among the projects with the highest scores until the 200,000 euros were consumed, with a cutoff point at 83 points. The final remainder, of 9,504.57 euros, was assigned to Estación Tranvía Teatro SL for the project “National tour through Spain with repertoire play,” which obtained 82 points, although based on score and amount requested, it would have been entitled to a higher amount.

Among the projects that receive exactly the amount requested, as it is the maximum possible aid without exceeding what was asked, are:

  • Titiriteros de Binéfar SL (national peninsular tour and participation in international festivals)
  • Civi-Civiac Producciones SL (2026 national tour and festivals)
  • Serendipia Sdad. Coop. (national peninsular tour)
  • Teatro Che y Moche SL (festival tour)
  • Alberto Castrillo Ferrer (international tour)
  • Pintacoda Animación SL (Almozandia Teatro national tour)
  • Volaire S.Coop. (fairs and festivals, D’Click 2026 company)
  • Daniel Esteban Lorenzo, Mariano Lasheras Blasco, Miguel Pollán Bella, Juan Pablo Vicente Gracia and Canasta Escénica

Dismissed appeals and one withdrawal

During the processing, two appeals were filed: one by Canasta Escénica SL, against the scoring of the projects “Gira Nacional Compañía Javier Aranda 2025-2026” and “Gira Internacional Compañía Javier Aranda 2025-2026”, and another by Juan Pablo Vicente Gracia, against the scoring of “Gira Festivales”. The Commission dismissed both and ratified the scores awarded; there were no reformulations.

Teatro Che y Moche SL withdrew from the project “Gira Baleares”, therefore the 4,320.65 euros initially proposed were reassigned to the next applicants by score, in a second definitive proposal dated August 17, 2026. Additionally, the audit detected an error in the valuation of “Gira nacional peninsular” by Serendipia Sdad Coop: they were entitled to 92 points instead of 90, although they maintain 10,900 euros because that was the amount requested.

Justification until November 19

Beneficiary entities must justify the subsidized activity with expenses incurred between November 14, 2025, and November 13, 2026, and paid by November 18, 2026. The period opens the day after the publication of the order and concludes on November 19, 2026, through the electronic office of the Government of Aragon.

The funding is charged to budget item G/18060/4581/470020/91002, PEP 2006/000992, of the extended budget for 2026. The grants are subject to the de minimis regime of Regulation (EU) 2023/2831, with a limit of 300,000 euros per company over three fiscal years. Against the order, which exhausts the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed within one month or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Aragon. Annex I, containing the list of beneficiaries, projects, amounts, and scores, can be consulted at mia.aragon.es/documentos with the Secure Verification Code CSVA16289F4LE100XFIL.

The distribution directly affects the Aragonese performing arts sector: theater, dance, and circus companies and private exhibition venues that depend on these lines to sustain tours outside the community. With the credit exhausted and a cutoff at 83 points, the lowest-scoring projects are left without funding, while the beneficiaries now face a justification calendar of barely four weeks.
