Por FactBox Admin

The Department of Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport of the Government of Aragon has resolved the show production category of the 2026 performing arts grants, awarding 515,000 euros to 26 theater, dance, and circus projects. The decision is formalized in Order PJC/1606/2026, of October 21, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon (BOA) number 214, of November 5, 2026, in section III of other provisions and agreements (official reference: BOA20261105017). The order bears the signature of the vice president and counselor, María del Mar Vaquero Perianez.
A call for 915,000 euros in three lines
The call for these grants was approved by Order ECD/537/2026, of March 25, published in BOA number 68, of April 10, 2026, under the regulatory bases established by Order ECD/1248/2022, of September 6, modified by Order ECD/1803/2022 and Order ECD/126/2025. The total amount amounted to 915,000 euros, distributed across three modalities:
- 515,000 euros for show production.
- 200,000 euros for tours and performances outside of Aragon.
- 200,000 euros for programming in private exhibition venues.
The stated objective is to promote the development and consolidation of companies that produce performing arts shows and those that maintain stable private exhibition venues in the autonomous community. The application period was ten business days, between April 13 and 27, 2026.
Thirty-two applications and two initial withdrawals
In the production modality, 32 applications were received. Of these, 31 met the requirements of the fifth section of the call and one was left out: that of the Asociación Cultural Borboleta, excluded for being a non-profit entity and failing to prove the required company status. Additionally, the application of José Antonio Mateos Luzán was considered withdrawn for failing to correct the required documentation in accordance with article 68.1 of Law 39/2015.
The Evaluation Commission met on July 15, 2026, to evaluate the remaining 30 projects according to the eighteenth section of the call. The General Directorate of Culture and Cultural Heritage formulated a provisional proposal on July 21, 2026, with five business days for allegations.
Three definitive proposals and one redistribution
The procedure accumulated up to three final proposals. The first, dated August 7, 2026, incorporated the withdrawal of Alberto Castrillo Ferrer from the project “La sal de la vida,” which allowed for the redistribution of the 15,069.25 euros assigned to him. The second, dated August 17, affected Félix Cartagena SL and Alfonso Desentre Ramírez. The third, dated September 29, accepted the allegations of Félix Cartagena SL following a report from the Delegated Comptroller’s Office, raising its score from 67 to 69 points.
The beneficiaries of the production line are:
- Lamov Ballet Sociedad Limitada, Fernando Martínez de Vega, Producciones Teatrales Viridiana SL, Teatro Arbolé SL, and José Antonio Royo Melero, with aid adjusted to the score obtained.
- Estación Tranvía Teatro, Titiriteros de Binéfar, Caleidoscopio Teatro SL, Alfonso Palomares Guerrero, Teatro del Temple Producciones S.Coop, Producciones Kinser, Embolicarte S.Coop, Daniel Esteban Lorenzo, Tres Actos S.Coop Pequeña, Sergio Marco Plou Pascual, Teatro Che y Moche SL, Jesús Ramón Arbués Biec, Miguel Pollán Bella, Volaire S.Coop, Nasu SC, Salvador Berlanga Carrera, Pablo Pérez Alonso, Violeta Borruel Abadía, Elena Gómez Zazurca, and Félix Cartagena SL, with the requested amount.
- Alfonso Desentre Ramírez, for the project “Voces lejanas,” who receives the remaining 8,041.21 euros with 67 points.
Due to a lack of budget availability, Alicia Macarrilla Maluenda (“La Pirata Mary Alice”), Raquel Rodrigo Rubio (“Matrioska Chejov”), and Irene Gómez Calvo (“Saber y cantar: Ciencias con flow”) will not receive aid.
Justification until November 19
The expenditure is charged to item G/18060/4581/470020/91002, PEP 2006/000992, of the 2024 budget extended for 2026, with favorable prior auditing from the Government of Aragon Comptroller’s Office dated October 8, 2026. The grants are subject to the de minimis regime of Regulation (EU) 2023/2831, with a limit of 300,000 euros per company over three fiscal years. The justification must be submitted via the electronic office and concludes on November 19, 2026, for expenses incurred from November 14, 2025, to November 13, 2026. An appeal for reversal may be filed against the order within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months before the High Court of Justice of Aragon.
The resolution closes the distribution of the main public support line for Aragonese performing arts creation and sets at 26 the projects that can produce this year, in a sector that depends on these contributions to premiere and sustain its companies.
