The Directorate General for Science and Research has resolved the call for grants for the organization of events and activities in Aragon that promote, popularize, and disseminate science, research, and technological development during 2026, with a budget of 100,000 euros. The resolution, dated September 4, 2026, bears the signature of the director general María Pilar Gayán Sanz and is published in the Official Gazette of Aragon (Boletín Oficial de Aragón) number 182, dated September 18, 2026, with reference BOA20260918010.
The call was structured through Order EMC/325/2026, of February 12, from the Department of Education, Science, and Universities, which set a maximum global amount of one hundred thousand euros (€100,000) charged to budget items 15100G/5423/440030/91002, 15100G/5423/480072/91002, and 15100G/5423/470105/91002 of the budget of the Autonomous Community of Aragon. The deadline for submitting applications was fifteen business days from the day following the publication of the call, February 27, 2026, and a total of 97 applications were submitted.
The applicable regulatory bases are Order EMC/1428/2024, of November 19, and the consolidated text of the Aragon Grants Law, approved by Legislative Decree 2/2023, of May 3. The grant was processed through competitive bidding, with a minimum score of 50 points required for an action to be considered eligible for a subsidy.
Corrections, appeals, and a material error
The instructing body carried out the pre-evaluation and requested the correction of three applications, two of which were corrected; the remaining one was considered withdrawn. The report of May 8, 2026, determined two inadmissible applications, one withdrawn, and 94 that were to be assessed by the Evaluation Commission, appointed by resolution on April 1, 2026.
The commission issued its report on May 12, and the provisional proposal was formulated on May 13, 2026. After the appeals period, the commission partially accepted one of them on June 2, which modified the list of beneficiary entities. During the processing of the final proposal, a material error was detected in the evaluation table, corrected in the minutes of August 6, 2026, which affected three entities; the Innovative Logistics Association of Aragon (Asociación Logística Innovadora de Aragón) submitted its withdrawal.
Redistribution of credit and final proposal
- Redistribution of credit among the three budget items: Resolution of July 21, 2026, published on September 2, 2026.
- Final resolution proposal from the instructing body: September 2, 2026.
- Favorable audit report: September 3, 2026.
- Grant resolution: September 4, 2026, signed in Zaragoza.
The grants may finance up to 100% of the specific expenses considered eligible. Eligible beneficiaries may include public and private universities, public or private research centers and organizations, R&D&i centers dependent on public administrations, and other legal persons or non-profit entities that carry out R&D&i or scientific dissemination activities, provided they are validly constituted and have their registered office in Aragon.
Annexes, deadlines, and appeal
The resolution grants the subsidies to the applications in Annex I and to the beneficiary entities in Annex II; rejects those in Annex III due to exhaustion of credit, which constitute the reserve list; rejects those in Annex IV due to a score lower than 50 points; and declares those in Annex V inadmissible and withdrawn. The annexes are available on the Electronic Office, procedure number 11358.
- Waiver of the grant: five days from the publication of the resolution.
- Information for transparency: fifteen days from the request.
- Administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) before the Minister of Education, Science, and Universities: one month from the day following publication.
The distribution of these 100,000 euros defines which scientific dissemination activities may be held in Aragon throughout 2026 and leaves a reserve list of projects that will only receive funds if credit is released. For the Aragonese science-technology-business system, the resolution closes a procedure of nearly seven months and establishes the entities that may execute their dissemination events this fiscal year.
