Aragón renews the Board of Directors of the public broadcaster CARTV

The President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón Navarro, has signed a decree, dated September 10, 2026, providing for the dismissal and appointment of the members of the Board of Directors of the Aragonese Radio and Television Corporation (CARTV). The measure is published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 177, of September 11, 2026, with official reference BOA20260911001, in section II on Authorities and Personnel.

The decree is issued in accordance with Article 5 of Law 8/1987, of April 15, on the creation, organization, and parliamentary control of the Aragonese Radio and Television Corporation, as amended by Law 4/2016, of May 19. Said regulation establishes that the Board shall be composed of sixteen members, of whom fifteen are elected for each legislature by the Plenary of the Courts of Aragon, with the President of the Government responsible for their appointment and publication in the official gazette.

On the same date, the Courts of Aragon communicated the designations made in the plenary session of September 10 and 11, 2026, proposed by the parliamentary groups of the Chamber, for their corresponding appointment.

The decree agrees to the dismissal, thanking them for the services rendered, of the following members of the Board of Directors:

A partial renewal of the leadership

The majority of the dismissed board members return for the new mandate, pointing to a partial renewal of the body. Among the new faces are Manuel Blasco Marqués, Sara Baigorri Jarauta, and Alejandro Martínez Ruiz, while Sheila Serrano López, Carlos Bermejo Martín, and José Manuel Alonso Plaza leave the Board without being re-elected.

The decree, signed in Zaragoza on September 10, 2026, enters into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette of Aragon, thus completing the parliamentary designation and appointment process provided for in the regulatory law of the public entity.

The renewal of the Board of Directors of CARTV establishes the leadership of the Aragonese public radio and television for the current legislature, a key body in the definition of programming and the management of the public communication service in the autonomous community.
