Aragón publishes early childhood education agreements in four municipalities

The Government of Aragon has ordered the publication in the Official Gazette of Aragon of four collaboration agreements regarding first-cycle early childhood education for the 2025-2026 school year, signed with the city councils of Binéfar, Jaca, and La Almunia de Doña Godina, and with the Comarca de Los Monegros. The four orders, signed on August 10, 2026, are published in issue number 162 of the gazette, dated August 21, 2026, within section III, Other Provisions and Agreements.

The agreements are part of the collaboration between the Department of Education, Science, and Universities and local entities to maintain first-cycle early childhood education places, a key service for family work-life balance in the Aragonese rural environment. The publication is carried out in accordance with sections 5 and 6 of article 151 of Law 5/2021, of June 29, on the Organization and Legal Regime of the Autonomous Public Sector of Aragon, and with article 13 of Decree 57/2012, of March 7, which regulates the General Registry of Agreements of the Autonomous Community.

Four agreements, four entities

Each agreement is registered in the General Registry of Agreements with its own number and was signed on different dates during the month of July 2026:

• Binéfar (Huesca): agreement 2026/6/0351, signed on July 21, 2026, published by Order PJC/1234/2026 (csv BOA20260821012).
• Jaca (Huesca): agreement 2026/6/0352, signed on July 21, 2026, published by Order PJC/1235/2026 (csv BOA20260821013).
• La Almunia de Doña Godina (Zaragoza): agreement 2026/6/0358, signed on July 28, 2026, published by Order PJC/1236/2026 (csv BOA20260821014).
• Los Monegros (Huesca): agreement 2026/6/0357, signed on July 22, 2026, published by Order PJC/1237/2026 (csv BOA20260821015).

Signature and processing

The agreements were signed by the Minister of Education, Science, and Universities and, respectively, by the Mayor-President of the City Council of Binéfar, the Mayor-President of the City Council of Jaca, the Mayor-President of the City Council of La Almunia de Doña Godina, and the President of the Comarca de Los Monegros. The publication orders are issued by the Vice-Presidency of the Government and Department of Presidency, Justice, Culture, and Sport, and appear signed, by delegation, by the Technical General Secretary, Cristina Asensio Grijalba.

Impact for the rural environment

The funding of first-cycle early childhood education places in municipalities and regions such as Binéfar, Jaca, La Almunia de Doña Godina, and Los Monegros strengthens the educational offering for children aged 0 to 3 outside of large urban centers, a decisive factor in retaining population and facilitating work-life balance for working families. With the publication in the official bulletin, the agreements gain full publicity and effectiveness, allowing local entities and families to know the conditions of the service for the 2025-2026 academic year.
