Aragón grants Hispano Minera de Rocas the La Nueva exploration permit

The Official Gazette of Aragon (BOA) number 175, dated September 9, 2026, publishes the announcement from the Provincial Service of Teruel announcing the granting of the mining research permit named “La Nueva”, number 6,622, in favor of the company Hispano Minera de Rocas, SL. The resolution, signed by the Director of the Provincial Service of Teruel on July 28, 2026, authorizes the research of Section C) resources over an area of 52 mining grids.

The announcement falls under the Department of Economy, Competitiveness, and Employment of the Government of Aragon and is published in compliance with the provisions of article 101.5 of the General Regulation for the Mining Regime, approved by Royal Decree 2857/1978, of August 25. Purpose and scope of the permit

The “La Nueva” permit authorizes the research of three types of mineral resources from Section C), all of which are of interest to the extractive industry:

• Clays, used in ceramics and construction materials.

• Leonardites, a type of oxidized lignite with applications in agriculture as an organic amendment.

The authorized area amounts to 52 mining grids, distributed among the municipalities of Ejulve, Gargallo, and Molinos, in the province of Teruel.

The resolution was adopted by the Director of the Provincial Service of Teruel, Lucía Villalba Valenzuela, on July 28, 2026, and the announcement was signed in Teruel on August 31, 2026.
