Aragón signs the agreement for the Aragonese Network of Performing Arts Spaces

The Official Gazette of Aragon publishes in issue 172, dated September 4, 2026, Order PJC/1277/2026, of August 25, which provides for the publication of the collaboration agreement organizing the Aragonese Network of Performing Arts Spaces. The agreement, signed on July 24, 2026, brings together the Government of Aragon and the Provincial Councils of Huesca, Teruel, and Zaragoza to promote cultural and theatrical programming throughout the Aragonese territory.

The agreement is registered in the General Registry of Agreements of the Autonomous Community under number 2026/6/0363, and its full text can be consulted at the portal aragon.es/registrodeconvenios.

An agreement between four administrations

The order, signed by the Vice Presidency of the Government and Department of Presidency, Justice, Culture, and Sport, publicizes an agreement that articulates cooperation between the regional administration and the three provincial institutions. The document is signed in accordance with sections 5 and 6 of article 151 of Law 5/2021, of June 29, on the Organization and Legal Regime of the Autonomous Public Sector of Aragon, and article 13 of Decree 57/2012, of March 7, of the Government of Aragon, which regulates the General Registry of Agreements.

The signatories of the agreement are:

  • The Vice President and Councilor for Presidency, Justice, Culture, and Sport of the Government of Aragon.
  • The President of the Provincial Council of Huesca.
  • The President of the Provincial Council of Teruel.
  • The President of the Provincial Council of Zaragoza.

Objectives of the network

The Aragonese Network of Performing Arts Spaces is created with the vocation of structuring the theatrical and performing arts offer of the territory, coordinating the spaces and programming of the different regions and municipalities. The agreement establishes the framework for collaboration for the organization and implementation of the program, with the aim of bringing culture closer to the citizens and strengthening the activity of Aragonese performing arts facilities.

The cooperation between the four administrations seeks to optimize resources, avoid duplication, and guarantee stable and quality programming throughout the territory, with special attention to rural and less populated areas.

Processing and publication

The order is issued in Zaragoza on August 25, 2026, and is signed by delegation of the councilor, through the Technical General Secretary of Presidency, Justice, Culture, and Sport, Cristina Asensio Grijalba, by virtue of the Order of November 28, 2024, of the Councilor for Presidency, Economy, and Justice. Publication in the official gazette provides full effectiveness and transparency to the agreement, which remains available to the public in the public registry of agreements.

With this initiative, Aragon reinforces its commitment to culture as a tool for territorial cohesion, ensuring that performing arts offerings reach the three provinces and their municipalities in a balanced manner, and consolidating a stable network of spaces and theatrical programming for the coming years.
