Aragón announces scholarships for unemployed persons in training during 2026

The Department of Economy, Competitiveness and Employment of the Government of Aragon has announced the 2026 scholarship and grant program aimed at unemployed workers participating in training actions and training within a company or equivalent organization. The program, managed by the Aragonese Employment Institute (INAEM), has a total credit of 400,000 euros and is structured under a direct grant regime, meaning it will be awarded to all applicants who meet the required criteria.

Regulatory Framework and Background

The call is based on the Vocational Training System regulated by Organic Law 3/2022, of March 31, and Law 30/2015, of September 9, which provides for the direct granting of scholarships and grants for transport, maintenance, accommodation, and work-life balance for unemployed persons. Beneficiaries and Amounts

Unemployed workers who, on the day of their incorporation into the training action, are registered as job seekers with the Public Employment Service and are in a non-occupied labor situation may be beneficiaries. The established amounts are as follows:

• Scholarship for persons with a recognized disability of at least 33% or permanent disability pensioners: €9 per day of attendance.
• Scholarship for women victims of gender-based violence: €10 per day of attendance.
• Public transport grant (urban and interurban): €1.50 per day.
• Private vehicle transport grant: €0.15 per kilometer traveled.
• Maintenance grant: up to €12 per school day.
• Accommodation and maintenance grant: up to €80 per calendar day.
• Work-life balance grant: 75% of the daily IPREM per day of attendance.

A minimum threshold of €20 is set to process the scholarship or grant, and the loss of unemployed status or more than three unjustified absences per month will result in the loss of the right to the benefit.

Deadlines and Submission of Applications

Applications shall be submitted individually through the electronic office of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Aragon, via procedure 3425 “Scholarships and grants for the training of unemployed persons - 2026 courses”, and shall be addressed to the corresponding Provincial Directorate of INAEM. The deadlines are as follows:

• Training actions: in the month prior to their completion, with the last day coinciding with the closing date of the action.
• Training in a company or equivalent organization: within the month following its completion.
• Scholarships for women victims of gender-based violence: throughout the entire duration of the action and up to one month thereafter, processed through the employment offices.
