Aragón announces 516,000 euros in grants for equality and non-discrimination

The Department of Deregulation, Social Welfare and Family of the Government of Aragon has announced grants totaling 516,000 euros for equal opportunity projects for people with disabilities. The call is formalized through Order DBF/1406/2026, of September 30, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 192, of October 2, 2026 (reference BOA20261002010). Non-profit social entities have ten business days from the day following publication to submit their application.

The order is based on the regulatory bases approved by Order CDS/1052/2023, of August 3 (BOA number 156, of August 14, 2023), and develops the mandate of Article 6 of Law 5/2019, of March 21, on the rights and guarantees of people with disabilities in Aragon, which requires Aragonese administrations to adopt measures against discrimination, positive action, and equal opportunities. The text also invokes Legislative Decree 2/2023, of May 3, which approves the revised text of the Grants Law of Aragon, and the department’s Strategic Grants Plan 2024-2027.

The call is processed under a competitive concurrence regime with a simplified procedure: the grant is awarded to all entities that meet the requirements, and the evaluation criteria only quantify the amount. It is signed by the counselor Alejandro Nolasco Asensio.

Amount, limits and financing

• Total amount: 516,000 euros, charged to the own resources of the Government of Aragon.
• Budgetary applications: G/3137/480720/91002 (450,000 euros) and G/3137/480655/91002 (66,000 euros).
• Maximum limit per entity: 70,000 euros, with a single project per applicant.
• Subcontracting: up to 50% of the amount of the subsidized activity.
• Indirect costs: maximum 20%; coordination and administration personnel, 10%; per diems and travel, 10%; dissemination, 5%.
• Advance payment of 90% of the granted aid, without the need to provide a guarantee.

Eligible projects

The line is called “Promotion of equal opportunities and promotion of equal treatment for people with disabilities” and covers two areas:

• Social inclusion and care for people with disabilities: professional care and accompaniment; training for families and non-professional caregivers provided by accredited trainers; and inclusive leisure and sports.
• Universal accessibility and removal of barriers: improvement of accessibility in social care and technical advice to public and private entities.

Eligible expenses must be incurred between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027.

Requirements, evaluation and deadlines

Eligible beneficiaries may be non-profit social entities established at least one year prior to the call, registered in the corresponding administrative registry and active in Aragon. Excluded, among others, are public law entities, public initiative foundations, political parties, universities, professional associations, trade unions, and business organizations.

The evaluation is divided into two phases:

• Entity: up to 40 points, with a minimum of 20 to proceed to the project evaluation.
• Project: up to 60 points, with a minimum of 30.

The maximum period for resolution and notification is three months from the end of the application period. The justification is divided into two periods: from November 23 to 30, 2026, for 10% of the execution, and from July 15 to August 15, 2027, for the remaining 90%.

The call opens a funding channel for the disability associative network in Aragon, which may execute inclusion and accessibility projects over two fiscal years with up to 70,000 euros per entity. The summary of the order is published with the identifier BDNS 932706 in the National Grants Database.
