Aragón announces 20,000 euros in inclusive sports grants for clubs

The Government of Aragon has announced grants totaling 20,000 euros for Aragonese sports clubs that carry out inclusive sports actions during 2026. The call is approved by Order PJC/1359/2026, of September 4, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 185, of September 23, 2026, with reference BOA20260923012. Entities registered in the Registry of Sports Entities of Aragon may apply.

The order is signed by the Vice President and Councilor for Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport, María del Mar Vaquero Perianez, and is issued under the exclusive competence in sports matters of the Statute of Autonomy of Aragon (article 71.52) and Law 16/2018, of December 4, on physical activity and sports in Aragon. The regulatory bases are Order ECD/978/2025, of August 1 (BOA number 155, of August 13, 2025), modified by Order ECD/1674/2025, of November 20 (BOA number 235, of December 4, 2025) and by Order ECD/516/2026, of March 20 (BOA number 67, of April 9, 2026).

The line is included in the Strategic Grant Plan of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport for the 2025-2027 period, approved by Order of June 24, 2025. The award is processed through the simplified competitive procedure provided for in article 16.3.b) of the consolidated text of the Grant Law of Aragon, approved by Legislative Decree 2/2023, of May 3.

Budget and amount of grants

• Total amount of the call: 20,000 euros, charged to the budget application G/18080/4571/480721/91002 of the 2024 budgets extended for 2026.
• Each grant may not exceed 80% of the total cost of the approved eligible project nor the amount requested.
• Eligible expenses must be incurred between January 1, 2026, and November 13, 2026, and must be paid before November 20, 2026.

Beneficiaries and eligible activities

Aragonese sports clubs registered in the Registry of Sports Entities of Aragon that meet the requirements of article 13 of the General Grant Law 38/2003, of November 17, may apply. Participation in adapted sports competitions and physical-sports activities whose exclusive purpose is the social inclusion of the following groups are subsidized:

• Elderly people.
• People with disabilities.
• Refugees.
• Immigrants.
• Victims of discrimination based on racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
• Incarcerated or former incarcerated populations.
• Drug addicts.
• Women in social difficulty.
• Children and youth in difficulty.
• Unemployed people.
• LGBTI people.

Deadlines, evaluation, and justification

• Application period: ten business days from the day following the publication of the call summary in the BOA, electronically via procedure 11471, “Subsidies for inclusive sports actions”.
• Instructing body: the head of the General Directorate of Sport.
• Evaluation committee: chaired by the Head of the Federated Sport and Competition Service, together with two technical staff members from the General Directorate of Sport.
• Scoring criteria: up to 100 points, distributed among entity implementation (20), social participation and volunteering (15), seniority (15), specialization (15), objectives (10), and target recipients (25).
• Maximum period to resolve and notify: three months from the end of the application period; the resolution is the responsibility of the Minister of Presidency, Justice, Culture, and Sport.
• Justification of aid: until November 20, 2026.

Against the order, which ends the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Minister of Presidency, Justice, Culture, and Sport within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Aragon.

The call continues public support for inclusive sport in Aragon and opens a direct financing route for clubs working with groups at risk of exclusion. With a cap of 80% of the project cost and an execution period that closes in November, interested entities have a very tight margin to submit their applications and justify expenses within the same fiscal year.
