Aragón announces 175,000 euros in grants to combat gender-based violence

The Official Gazette of Aragon publishes this August 27, in issue number 166, Order PJC/1257/2026, of August 13, by which the Aragonese Institute for Women announces grants on a competitive basis for non-profit entities that develop actions for the prevention, awareness, and eradication of violence against women. The call, processed under reference BOA20260827010 and whose summary appears under reference BOA20260827014, distributes a total of 175,000 euros, with a maximum of 25,000 euros per beneficiary entity.

The order, signed by the Vice Presidency of the Government and Department of Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport, is based on the exclusive competencies of the Autonomous Community in social equality policies recognized in the Statute of Autonomy of Aragon (Organic Law 5/2007) and in Law 2/1993, which creates the Aragonese Institute for Women. The regulatory bases were approved by Order PRI/812/2021, of June 25, and the line is part of the Institute’s Strategic Grant Plan approved by Order of February 9, 2024.

Beneficiaries and eligible projects

Legally constituted organizations, associations, foundations, and federations registered in the corresponding registry that meet the following requirements may apply:

• Be non-profit and of public utility or fulfill a social function.
• Have a registered office or delegation in Aragon and carry out their activity in the Autonomous Community.
• Be up to date with their tax obligations to the State and the Autonomous Community and with Social Security.

Projects aimed at the prevention, awareness, and eradication of all forms of violence exercised against women and their daughters and sons, as well as the care of social exclusion situations linked to said violence, will be financed. Only one project per applicant and call will be subsidized, and the aid may reach 100% of the cost of the action.

Amount, expenses, and deadline

The allocation amounts to 175,000 euros, charged to budget item 54010/G/3232/480491/91002 (PEP 2007/000595) of the expenditure budget of the Aragonese Institute for Women for 2026. Eligible expenses must be incurred between January 1 and November 27, 2026, and include materials, travel and accommodation, personnel hired specifically for the project, and indirect costs (up to 10% of the total cost).

Applications must be submitted electronically through the Electronic Office of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Aragon, using procedure code 4432, and will be automatically directed to the Aragonese Institute for Women. The submission period will be ten business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary of the order in the Official Gazette of Aragon. The call for applications is listed in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 913977.

Bodies and processing

The processing of the procedure corresponds to the holder of the General Secretariat of the Aragonese Institute for Women, and the resolution to the holder of the Department competent in women’s affairs. The documentation to be provided includes proof of legal personality, the descriptive technical project (maximum 20 pages), the itemized budget, and documentation accrediting experience in projects regarding violence against women.
