The Official Gazette of Aragon publishes today, August 27, in issue number 166, Order PJC/1257/2026, of August 13, which announces grants on a competitive basis for non-profit entities that develop actions for the prevention, awareness, and eradication of violence against women. The call, promoted by the Aragonese Institute for Women, has a total budget of 175,000 euros and a maximum of 25,000 euros per beneficiary entity.
The order is framed within the exclusive competencies of the Autonomous Community regarding social equality recognized by the Statute of Autonomy of Aragon (Organic Law 5/2007), and is issued under the protection of the General Grants Law 38/2003 and the consolidated text of the Grants Law of Aragon (Legislative Decree 2/2023). The regulatory bases were approved by Order PRI/812/2021, of June 25, and the call is financed from budget item 54010/G/3232/480491/91002 of the Institute’s expenditure budget for 2026.
Beneficiary entities and projects
Organizations, associations, foundations, and federations that are legally constituted and registered in the corresponding registry may apply, provided they meet these requirements:
- Be non-profit and of public utility or fulfill a social function.
- Have a registered office or delegation in Aragon and carry out their activity within the Autonomous Community.
- Possess sufficient structure and capacity, with a gender perspective integrated into their projects.
Projects aimed at the prevention, awareness, and eradication of all forms of violence against women and their daughters and sons, as well as the care of social exclusion situations linked to said violence, will be eligible for subsidies. Only one project per applicant and call will be subsidized, and the aid may reach 100% of the cost of the action.
Expenses and submission of applications
Eligible expenses must be incurred between January 1 and November 27, 2026, and include materials, travel and accommodation, personnel hired specifically for the project, and indirect costs (up to 10% of the total cost). Investment expenses, parties, celebrations, bank interest, and the acquisition of inventoriable assets are excluded.
Applications must be submitted electronically through the electronic office of the Government of Aragon, using procedure code 4432, and will be automatically directed to the Aragonese Institute for Women. The deadline will be ten business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary of the order in the gazette.
Evaluation and resolution
The processing and resolution are the responsibility of the General Secretariat of the Aragonese Institute for Women and the department competent in women’s affairs. The assessment will be carried out based on criteria such as the territorial scope, the number of beneficiaries, accredited experience, the management structure, the contribution of own resources, and the technical quality of the project, with a maximum of 50 points per block.
The call, identified in the National Grants Database with number 913977, represents a direct reinforcement of the Aragonese associative fabric in the fight against gender-based violence, allowing NGOs and associations to finance prevention and care projects for women and minors in situations of vulnerability.
