Por FactBox Admin

The Government of Aragon has granted 255,942.68 euros in subsidies to Aragonese sports entities participating in official absolute competitions of national scope during the 2025/2026 season. The decision is formalized in Order PJC/1463/2026, of September 21, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 199, of October 14, 2026, within section III of other provisions and agreements. The same resolution dismisses the applications submitted by other Aragonese sports clubs.
An April call and 2025 guidelines
The aid derives from the call approved by Order ECD/557/2026, of April 6 (Official Gazette of Aragon number 75, of April 21, 2026), which opened the process for Aragonese sports entities competing in absolute categories of state scope.
The regulatory framework for this line is Order ECD/978/2025, of August 1, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies in sports matters (Official Gazette of Aragon number 155, of August 13, 2025), modified by Order ECD/1674/2025, of November 20 (Official Gazette of Aragon number 235, of December 4, 2025).
The processing was carried out through the simplified competitive bidding procedure regulated in article 16.3.b) of the consolidated text of the Subsidies Law of Aragon, approved by Legislative Decree 2/2023, of May 3.
Who receives the aid and under what limits
According to the third base of the call, the following may be beneficiaries:
- Sports sections of non-profit entities.
- Aragonese sports clubs registered in the Registry of Sports Entities of Aragon.
- In both cases, provided they participate in official absolute competitions of national scope.
The applications were examined by the Evaluation Commission provided for in the twelfth base, taking into account the economic availability of the 2024 budget, extended for 2026, and the objective granting criteria of the eleventh base.
The quantification was adjusted to the maximum amounts of sections 3, 4, and 5 of the second base, depending on the competition in which the teams participate, and to the limit of 60% of the total cost of the approved subsidizable project.
The total amount granted, 255,942.68 euros, is paid from budget position G/180800/4571/480563/91002 of the competent department.
Annex I of the order details, entity by entity, the points obtained, the approved subsidizable expenditure budget, the subsidy requested, the one granted, the maximum possible amount according to the competition, and the corresponding percentage. Annex II lists the clubs whose applications are dismissed and the reasons for each rejection.
Deadlines, justification, and appeal process
Eligible expenses are those directly related to the activity and corresponding to the 2025/2026 season, incurred between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, and effectively paid before October 30, 2026.
Payment will be finalized once the beneficiary proves the fulfillment of the grant’s purpose and justifies the activity in accordance with the imposed conditions, pursuant to the twentieth basis of the call.
Beneficiaries must also provide, upon request and within fifteen days, the information necessary to comply with the obligations of Law 8/2015, of March 25, on Transparency of Public Activity and Citizen Participation of Aragon.
Against the order, which exhausts the administrative route, the following may be filed:
- An optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición) before the Vice President and Councilor for Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport, within one month from the day following its publication.
- A contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Aragon, within two months.

Impact on Aragonese grassroots and elite sports
The resolution concludes the distribution of a funding line that economically supports clubs and sections competing outside of Aragon in absolute categories, whose travel and competition structure depend largely on this support. The actual distribution, including scores and percentages, is detailed in the published annexes, while excluded entities now have one month to file an appeal for reversal or two months to pursue judicial action.
