Aragón increases the credit for the Volveremos 2026 program by 401,783 euros

Por FactBox Admin

The Government of Aragon has increased the credit for the “Volveremos 2026” program for the promotion of small retail trade by 401,783 euros, aimed at commercial revitalization in the urban and rural environments of the Autonomous Community. The measure is formalized through Order ECE/1255/2026, of August 10, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 165, of August 26, 2026 (reference BOA20260826014).

The expansion is a response to the notable growth of the program, which in 2026 added the membership of 72 municipalities, more than triple those that participated at the start of its expansion across all of Aragon. The increase in localities and affiliated establishments raises the number of possible transactions, making it necessary to reinforce the initial budgetary allocation.

An expanding program

The original call was approved by Order ECE/781/2026, of May 28, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 103, of June 2, 2026. The initial available budget was 2,964,217 euros, charged to budget item G/10170/6221/470209/91002 of the 2026 regional budgets.

The call itself provided that this amount could be increased without the need to open a new procedure if the item was increased through the generation, expansion, or incorporation of credit. In the first phase of the program’s expansion across Aragon, municipalities with more than 6,000 inhabitants joined; by 2026, the possibility was opened to all Aragonese municipalities with at least one shop.

Distribution among municipalities

The distribution of the 401,783 euros among the active municipalities is carried out according to the calculation parameters of Annex I of Order ECE/781/2026. The most prominent regional contributions are:

  • Zaragoza: €299,117.44
  • Teruel: €8,257.91
  • Jaca: €8,060.90
  • Huesca: €7,345.56
  • Calatayud: €6,975.34
  • Alcañiz: €5,144.93
  • La Muela: €5,261.65
  • Caspe: €4,255.30

The remainder of the amount is distributed among dozens of localities across the three provinces, with amounts ranging from the 10,924.49 euros of Cuarte de Huerva to small symbolic contributions such as the 4.20 euros of Tramacastilla or the 29.22 euros of Arens de Lledó.

Signature and scope

The order, dated in Zaragoza on August 10, 2026, is signed on behalf of the Minister of Economy, Competitiveness, and Employment by the Vice President and Minister of Presidency, Justice, Culture, and Sport, María del Mar Vaquero Perianez, by virtue of the decree of the President of the Government of Aragon designating substitutes during the months of July and August 2026.

The expansion ensures that the program can handle the high volume of transactions anticipated across its three annual campaigns, ensuring that merchants and consumers in the participating municipalities receive the committed aid. With this, the regional Executive reinforces one of its primary tools for supporting small businesses and stimulating urban and rural centers in Aragon.
