Aragón expands credit for special employment centers

The Department of Economy, Competitiveness and Employment of the Government of Aragon has increased the credit allocated to subsidies for special employment centers in the Autonomous Community, through Orders ECE/1261/2026 and ECE/1262/2026, both dated August 13, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 167, of August 28, 2026. The measure is a response to the fact that the initially planned credits were insufficient to meet all the applications submitted by the beneficiary entities.
Both orders are part of the labor inclusion program for people with disabilities in the protected labor market, the regulatory bases of which are established by Order EPE/23/2023, of January 16. The funding is channeled through the Aragonese Employment Institute, charged to expandable credits from chapter IV of its expenditure budget.
Professional activity support units
Order ECE/1261/2026 (reference BOA20260828008) increases by 91,200 euros the credit for the call for subsidies for the operation of professional activity support units, provided for in Order EMC/681/2026, of April 28. The total amount increases from 1,600,000 to 1,691,200 euros, distributed between two budget applications:
- 51010/G3221/470056/33005: 1,300,000 euros.
- 51010/G3221/470056/91002: 391,200 euros.
The increase is based on the favorable report of the Delegated Comptroller, dated July 29, 2026, and the existence of adequate and sufficient credit in the budget of the Aragonese Employment Institute.
Maintenance of jobs
Order ECE/1262/2026 (reference BOA20260828009) increases by 5,292,133.34 euros the credit for the call for subsidies for the maintenance of jobs for people with disabilities, established in Order EMC/1876/2025, of December 15. The total amount called for thus amounts to 24,917,133.34 euros, with the following distribution:
- 51016/G/3221/470092/33005: 23,625,000 euros.
- 51016/G/3221/470092/91002: 1,292,133.34 euros.
The increase is supported by the distribution of labor funds from the General State Budgets for 2026, approved at the LXXXVII Meeting of the Sectoral Conference on Employment and Labor Affairs, held on May 27, 2026, and the favorable report of the Delegated Comptroller, issued on August 6, 2026.
Processing and effects
Both orders, signed in Zaragoza on August 13, 2026, by the Councilor for Economy, Competitiveness and Employment, María del Mar Vaquero Perianez, take effect from the day following their publication in the Official Gazette of Aragon. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against them within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the High Court of Justice of Aragon within two months.
With these extensions, the Government of Aragon guarantees the coverage of the applications submitted by special employment centers, a key instrument for the labor inclusion of people with disabilities in the protected labor market of the Autonomous Community.
