Arañuel puts out to tender the demolition and construction of niches in the cemetery

The Arañuel City Council has approved the project “Demolition and construction of niches in the municipal cemetery”, which is now subject to public consultation for a period of twenty days so that any interested party may examine it and submit allegations. The decision was adopted in an ordinary Plenary session held on August 27, 2026, and the announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón number 105, dated September 1, 2026, with reference 03880-2026-U.
The action, drafted by the technician Ms. Yolanda Tortajada Urban, has a total budget of 39,900.00 euros, VAT included, and is included in the Provincial Impulsa Plan, which is biennial for the 2026/2027 period. This is a relevant public work for the municipality, aimed at expanding and renovating the capacity of the local cemetery.

The project involves the demolition of existing structures and the subsequent construction of new niches in the municipal cemetery of Arañuel. The intervention responds to the need to adapt and expand the municipality’s funeral facilities, improving the availability of spaces for residents.

Relevance for the municipality
The construction of new niches represents a direct improvement of the public services provided by the council to its residents in a field as sensitive as funeral services.
