Aquona will cut off water supply to delinquent payers in Medina de Pomar and Briviesca

Aquona, Gestión de Agua, S.A.U., the concessionaire company for the municipal water services of Medina de Pomar and Briviesca, has announced the disconnection of supply to subscribers with outstanding water bill debts. The measure, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 160, dated August 25, 2026, will be executed starting at 9:00 AM on the tenth calendar day following the publication of each announcement.

The two notices, signed on August 10, 2026, by Leticia Pilar Vicente, customer manager for the East Castilla y León Zone, are included in section VI of private announcements in the gazette. In both cases, the company warns that the voluntary payment period has ended and that the bills have moved to executive collection proceedings.

A procedure regulated by ordinance

The disconnection is supported by the drinking water service regulations of each municipality. In Medina de Pomar, article 58 of the regulation is invoked, published in BOP number 235, dated December 13, 2005; in Briviesca, article 43 of the regulation, published in BOP number 59, dated March 27, 2009.

To avoid the suspension of service, those affected must pay the outstanding bills at the municipal offices, following a request for an in-person appointment, or call the toll-free numbers 911 779 010 and 900 190 020. Those who disagree with the measure may file claims with the Municipal Water Service within ten business days from the receipt of the notification.

The announcement corresponding to Medina de Pomar (reference BOPBUR-2026-03486) details three contracts with accumulated debts:

The Briviesca announcement (reference BOPBUR-2026-03487) lists another three contracts, with debts reaching 201.31 euros:
