Aquona will cut off water supply to 47 defaulters in Briviesca, Lerma, and Medina

Aquona, Gestión de Agua, S.A.U. will cut off the water supply to 47 subscribers with debts in Briviesca, Lerma, and Medina de Pomar. The concessionaire for the three municipal water services published the lists of debtors this Wednesday in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos (no. 181, dated September 23, 2026), with cuts scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM on the tenth calendar day following, October 3. Those affected have accumulated 13,598.52 euros in bills for water, sewerage, purification, and meter maintenance.

The three announcements—BOPBUR-2026-03846, BOPBUR-2026-03847, and BOPBUR-2026-03848—are based on the drinking water service regulations of each municipality and come after the voluntary payment period has ended and the company has initiated executive proceedings. The lists identify each customer by contract number, partially hidden NIF (Tax ID), and address, without full names. This is not the first warning of the year: the Official Gazette of the Province no. 160, dated August 25, 2026, had already published lists of debtors from Briviesca and Medina de Pomar.

Briviesca: seven contracts and 2,226.17 euros

The announcement for Briviesca (p. 55) adheres to article 43 of the local drinking water service regulation, published in BOP no. 59, dated March 27, 2009. The seven affected contracts total 2,226.17 euros:

• Avenida Reyes Católicos, 32-4-C: 280.68 euros (14 cycles).
• Justo Cantón Salazar, 18-4: 352.60 euros (18 cycles).
• Joaquín Costa, 21-1-DA: 404.87 euros (19 cycles).
• La Senda, 14-bajo: 370.16 euros (19 cycles).
• Marqués de Torresoto, 29-2-DA: 280.68 euros (14 cycles).
• San Martín, 18-1-A: 254.94 euros (7 cycles).
• Santa María, 22-BJ: 282.24 euros (18 cycles).

Lerma: 17 subscribers and 1,554.03 euros

In Lerma (pp. 56-57), the cutoff is based on article 43 of the local regulation, published in BOP no. 64, dated March 30, 2016. The list includes 17 contracts totaling 1,554.03 euros, with amounts ranging from 27.93 euros for Lope de Vega, 7-3-B to 514.00 euros for Lope de Vega, 7-2-D, the highest individual debt in the municipality. Among the debtors are two contracts with the same partial NIF (A09****56) at Las Bodegas, 12-BJ and Paseo de los Mesones, 12-BJ.

Medina de Pomar: 23 contracts and 9,818.32 euros

Medina de Pomar (pp. 58-59) concentrates the largest volume: 23 contracts and 9,818.32 euros, in application of article 58 of the drinking water service regulations, published in BOP no. 235, of December 13, 2005. The amounts range from 70.38 euros for Saturnino Rodríguez, 3-2-4 to 570.96 euros for four different addresses: San Francisco, 3-1-DC, Avenida La Ronda, 42-3-DC, Briviesca, 6-2-DC and Avenida Burgos, 42 chalé. The list also includes a subscriber with NIF X40****9M at Ángeles López Fernández, 2-1-B.

How to avoid the cutoff and how to claim

Subscribers can pay pending bills before the cutoff at the customer service offices indicated in each announcement:

• Briviesca: Marqués de Torresoto street, 21, 09240, by prior in-person appointment.
• Lerma: de la Audiencia street, 6, 09340.
• Medina de Pomar: plazuela del Corral, 09500.

Payment can also be made by telephone at the toll-free numbers 911 779 010 and 900 190 020. Those who disagree with the measure have ten business days from the receipt of the notification to file claims with the corresponding Municipal Water Service.

The three announcements are signed in Briviesca, Lerma and Medina de Pomar on September 7, 2026, by Leticia Pilar Vicente, customer manager for the East Castilla y León Zone of Aquona.

The notice affects 47 homes and premises in three municipalities of the province and arrives with the payment period already closed, therefore the subscribers included in the lists can only avoid the cutoff by paying the debt or claiming within the following ten business days. The publication in the official bulletin turns these lists into the formal notice required by municipal regulations before suspending the supply.
