Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Anguciana has dismissed Antonio Morán Verdú as a member of the Local Government Board and Second Deputy Mayor and has appointed Asunción Ruíz Martínez in his place, who assumes both responsibilities. The decision was made by the mayor-president, Jorge Loyo Mendoza, and was formalized through a resolution signed on October 2, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
A mayoral resolution published in the BOR
The announcement appears in section II, Authorities and Personnel, of the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 192, dated October 6, 2026, on page 16868, with the official reference 202610020124761 (II.1126). The text is based on articles 21.3 and 23.1 of the Law Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime and article 52 of the Regulations on the Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Entities, approved by Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28.
The resolution is organized into three sections:
- Dismiss Antonio Morán Verdú as a member of the Local Government Board and Second Deputy Mayor.
- Appoint Asunción Ruíz Martínez as a member of the Local Government Board and Second Deputy Mayor.
- Personally notify the appointees of the resolution, and report it to the Local Government Board and the City Council Plenary in the first session it holds.
Procedures and entry into force
The third section establishes the communication and validation procedure for the change. The resolution will be personally notified to the appointees and will be understood as tacitly accepted unless there is an express manifestation to the contrary, in accordance with articles 38 and 44 of the aforementioned local regime regulations. Additionally, the agreement will be reported to the Local Government Board and the City Council Plenary in the first session it holds.
The document specifies that the appointment becomes effective from the day following the signing of the resolution by the mayor, without prejudice to its publication in the Official Gazette of La Rioja. The signing took place in Anguciana on October 2, 2026, with Jorge Loyo Mendoza as Mayor-President.
A change in the municipal government team
The Local Government Board is the collegiate body that assists the mayor in the direction of the municipal government. The handover affects one of the deputy mayoralties, a figure that replaces the mayor in cases of absence, vacancy, or illness, meaning the change alters the command structure of the council.
The City Council of Anguciana, a municipality in La Rioja, thus has a new holder of the Second Deputy Mayoralty and a different composition of its Local Government Board. The publication in the official gazette provides publicity and effectiveness to the appointment and allows interested parties to know the updated composition of the government team.
For the residents of Anguciana, the announcement serves as official confirmation of the new composition of the Local Government Board and the person who will hold the Second Deputy Mayoralty, effective from the day following the signing on October 2, 2026.
