Andorra opens 6,000 euro grants to replace appliances with efficient ones
Por FactBox Admin

The Andorra City Council has announced 6,000 euros in grants for energy saving through the replacement of household appliances with new, more efficient ones. The call was approved by agreement of the Local Government Board on October 19, 2026, and its summary is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 203, dated October 22, 2026, under reference 2026-3074.
Competitive bidding and limited credit
The grants are processed under a competitive bidding regime, using a simplified procedure, and are charged to the budget allocation 2026.9200.7800000 “Energy efficiency grants.” The maximum total amount announced is 6,000 euros, according to the third section of the summary.
The text is published under articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the full version can be consulted in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 936439.
Who can apply and where to buy
The first section of the summary sets two cumulative conditions to access the aid:
- Be a natural person.
- Be registered as a resident in Andorra (Teruel).
- Purchase the household appliances through a business based in the municipality.
The purpose of the call is, literally, the replacement of household appliances with new ones that are “more energy efficient” during the 2026 fiscal year, meaning the aid is linked to the renovation of domestic equipment and not to a mere purchase.
Two submission methods and a deadline with two endpoints
Applications can be submitted by two means:
- In person, with documentation on paper at the General Registry of the City Council.
- Electronically, through the municipal Electronic Office, where the procedure is listed as “Application for energy saving grant through the replacement of household appliances 2026” and includes the standardized forms.
The submission period begins the day after the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of Teruel and ends when the budget availability allocated to the call is exhausted and, in any case, on December 11, 2026. That is, the credit may close before that date if it runs out.
The summary was signed in Andorra on October 20, 2026, by the mayor, Rafael Guía Marqués.
More municipal aid lines in the same gazette
The call for household appliances is not the only one that the Andorran city council publishes in issue number 203 of the provincial bulletin. The same issue contains the summary of subsidies aimed at family units with celiac individuals or those with gluten intolerance, endowed with 10,000 euros and identifier BDNS 936459, also approved by agreement of the Local Government Board on October 19, 2026, with a deadline of twenty business days from publication.
The coincidence of both publications outlines a package of municipal aid of a domestic nature processed through competitive bidding and charged to different budget allocations for the 2026 fiscal year.
The call comes in a context of rising energy costs and the mandatory renewal of old domestic equipment, and has a double effect for the municipality: it relieves the cost of replacement for family economies and, by requiring that the purchase be made at a business based in Andorra, it retains spending within the local commercial fabric. For residents, the practical key is the date: anyone wishing to apply must submit their request as soon as possible, because the closure due to exhaustion of funds may bring the end of the deadline forward well before December 11.
