Andalusia redistributes 950,000 euros in grants for the promotion of music
Por FactBox Admin

The Management of the Andalusian Agency for Cultural Institutions has agreed to redistribute the credit for grants for the promotion of music in Andalusia for the 2026 financial year, keeping the total allocation of 950,000 euros unchanged but modifying the distribution between lines and sub-lines and the schedule of annual payments. This measure is detailed in the Resolution of October 9, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Government of Andalusia (BOJA) No. 201, of October 16, 2026 (text No. 13538), and takes effect from the day of its publication.
Regulatory framework of the call
The grants were announced through the Resolution of May 22, 2026 (BOJA No. 102, of May 29), by the Management of the Andalusian Agency for Cultural Institutions, on a competitive basis, under the Order of April 23, 2026 (BOJA No. 82, of April 30), which approves the regulatory bases for the promotion of music in Andalusia. The funding is charged to Chapter IV of the Agency’s budget, under budget item 1951010000 G/45E/47002/00 01.
The initial call distributed the 950,000 euros among four lines:
- Line 1: 75,000.00 euros.
- Line 2: 125,000.00 euros.
- Line 3: 150,000.00 euros, with 100,000.00 for sub-line 3.a and 50,000.00 for 3.b.
- Line 4: 600,000.00 euros, with 50,000.00 for sub-line 4.a, 210,000.00 for 4.b and 340,000.00 for 4.c.
Redistribution of credit between lines
Section 2.2 of the call resolution allows the remaining credit from each line or sub-line to be distributed among its beneficiaries and empowers the Agency’s Management to decide which line the undistributed surplus is attributed to. Based on the provisional resolution proposal of August 20, 2026 and the reports from the Andalusian Institute of Performing Arts and Music (Technical Area) of August 12 and October 2, 2026, the final maximum credits are as follows:
- Line 1: increases from 75,000.00 to 108,512.45 euros (+33,512.45).
- Line 2: remains at 125,000.00 euros.
- Line 3: decreases to 116,487.50 euros; sub-line 3.a maintains 100,000.00 and 3.b drops to 16,487.50 euros (-33,512.50).
- Line 4: remains at 600,000.05 euros; sub-line 4.a decreases to 15,768.75 euros (-34,231.25), 4.b increases to 229,231.25 euros (+19,231.25) and 4.c increases to 355,000.05 euros (+15,000.00).
One provisional beneficiary discarded in sub-line 4.a
Following the hearing process, which closed on September 10, 2026, it was verified that one of the three entities proposed as a provisional beneficiary in sub-line 4.a did not prove the circumstances required in section 4 of the respective summary table. Consequently, it lost its status as a provisional beneficiary, generating a surplus of 15,000.00 euros that could not be distributed among the other two applicants, as they had already been proposed the full amount requested, nor among substitutes, as there were none in that sub-line.
In its report dated October 2, 2026, the Technical Area determined to assign this surplus to sub-line 4.c, intended for privately managed concert halls located in Andalusia for the development of a stable live music program, due to its “multiplier effect and the dissemination of music across different genres.”
Annualities and effects of the resolution
The resolution also modifies the distribution by annualities: 475,000.00 euros are maintained with cash effectiveness in 2026, while 2027 increases from 437,500.00 to 457,083.38 euros and 2028 decreases from 37,500.00 to 17,916.62 euros. The text specifies that the redistribution does not imply the opening of a new application period and that the resolution takes effect from the day of its publication. The document is signed by the director of the Agency, José Ángel Vélez González.
Impact on the Andalusian musical sector
The readjustment directly affects promoters, artists, concert halls, and companies in the musical sector applying for these grants: it reinforces the lines and sub-lines with higher demand—Line 1 and sub-lines 4.b and 4.c—at the expense of those that did not exhaust their credit, such as 3.b and 4.a. With this, the Agency seeks to optimize the full utilization of public funds and ensure that the planned 950,000 euros are fully executed in the promotion of music in Andalusia.
