Andalusia announces the 20th edition of the Agriculture and Fisheries Awards

The Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of the Regional Government of Andalusia has announced the 20th edition of the Andalusia Agriculture and Fisheries Awards, which recognize the professional trajectory and activity of citizens, companies, and entities in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, rural development, and water as a resource. The call is formalized through the Resolution of August 31, 2026, of the Vice-Ministry, published in the Official Gazette of the Regional Government of Andalusia (BOJA) number 172, dated September 4, 2026, page 11438.

The awards, created by Decree 68/1999, of March 16, recognize natural or legal persons and public or private entities that have stood out for their work in agriculture, livestock, fisheries, or agro-industry. The modalities and categories of the awards and their granting procedure are regulated in the Order of July 20, 2018, modified by the Order of August 30, 2019, and by the Order of October 4, 2023.

Candidacies and submission deadline

Applications shall be addressed to the head of the competent Regional Ministry and must adhere to the form model attached as an annex to the Order of October 4, 2023. The deadline for submitting candidacies is one month, counted from the day following the publication of the resolution in the BOJA.

• Applications shall be submitted through the Electronic Registry of the Administration of the Regional Government of Andalusia, via the procedure link with code 244 of the Procedures and Services Catalog of the electronic office.
• They must be accompanied, at a minimum, by the documentation provided for in article 5.2 of the Order of July 20, 2018.
• Candidacies composed of the natural persons or entities provided for in article 3 of said order may apply for the awards in any of their modalities and categories.

Resolution and legal framework

The granting of the awards will be carried out by the head of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development within a maximum period of three months, counted from the day following the end of the application submission period. The call is governed by Decree 68/1999, of March 16, and by the Order of July 20, 2018, and its modifications, and will take effect the day following its publication in the BOJA.

The resolution, signed in Seville on August 31, 2026, by the Vice-Minister María Consolación Vera Sánchez, opens a new edition of awards that consolidate public recognition of the Andalusian agricultural and fisheries productive fabric, a strategic sector for the economy and rural development of the community.
