Andalucía convoca la fase autonómica del concurso escolar Consumópolis 2026-2027

The General Directorate of Consumption of the Regional Government of Andalusia has announced the regional phase of the Consumópolis school competition for the 2026-2027 academic year, the general theme of which is transparency and security for the protection of consumers. The call is formalized through the Resolution of September 25, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Regional Government of Andalusia (BOJA) No. 191, of October 1, 2026, starting on page 12817. The registration period for teams on the competition website runs from October 5, 2026, to March 1, 2027.

The call is based on the state regulatory bases approved by Order CSM/1008/2021, of September 20 (BOE No. 230, of September 25), whose Article 5 regulates the regional phase, and on the Order of the Minister of Social Rights, Consumption and 2030 Agenda, of August 14, 2026, which announces the national prizes of the competition, the summary of which was published in BOE No. 206, of August 22, 2026. The Andalusian resolution is issued in accordance with Article 22 of Decree 189/2026, of July 30, on the organic structure of the Ministry of Presidency, Health and Emergencies, and is signed by the Director General of Consumption, Sergio Romero Jiménez.

On the same day, the summary of the call was published in BOJA No. 191, page 12818, with the identifier BDNS: 931694, which gives effect to the resolution pursuant to Article 20.8.a) of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17.

Who can participate and at which levels

Teams of five students enrolled in any public, semi-private (concertado), or private center in the Andalusian territory, coordinated by a teaching professional, may compete. The participation levels are:

  • Level 1: fifth and sixth grade of Primary Education.
  • Level 2: first and second year of Compulsory Secondary Education.
  • Level 3: third and fourth year of Compulsory Secondary Education or Basic Vocational Training.

Teams must first register on the Consumópolis school competition website and subsequently submit the application through the General Electronic Registry of the Regional Government of Andalusia, addressed to the head of the General Directorate of Consumption. Mere registration on the website does not constitute participation in the regional prizes.

Calendar and documentation

The calendar established by the resolution sets the following phases:

  • Team registration on the website: from October 5, 2026, to March 1, 2027.
  • First part of the competition: from October 5, 2026, to March 18, 2027, inclusive.
  • Second part: from the completion of the first part by each team until April 7, 2027.
  • Submission of applications: from October 5, 2026, to April 12, 2027, inclusive.

The first part consists of a tour of the city of Consumópolis with pedagogical and playful tests; the second, the design and presentation of a short video of about 90 seconds on an everyday consumption situation. The application must include the team’s virtual file, the image use authorization from Annex II, and the data processing and rights transfer authorizations from Annexes II.A and II.B of the state order.

Prizes and financial endowment

A total of 18 prizes are announced, with a minimum financial endowment of 5,610.00 euros, distributed as follows:

  • 15 prizes, one for each student of the winning teams.
  • 3 prizes for each of the coordinating teachers of the winning teams.

The awards consist of electronic devices: a personal computer for each coordinator and an electronic tablet for each student. The expenditure is charged to budget item 1300010000/G/44H/48603/0001 of the budget of the Ministry of Presidency, Health and Emergencies for the 2027 fiscal year and is subject to the existence of adequate and sufficient credit in the budget approved by Parliament.

The call keeps open the Andalusian route toward the national phase of the contest and provides schools with a tool for education in responsible consumption. Primary, ESO (Secondary Education), and Basic Vocational Training students from all over Andalusia may compete with works on transparency and security, two central axes in the protection of consumer rights.
