Andacollo to auction Codelco mining concessions with unpaid patents in November

The Andacollo Court of First Instance and Guarantee has scheduled for November 27, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., the auction of mining concessions with unpaid patents in case C-41-2026, captioned Regional Treasury of Coquimbo / Codelco Chile. The resolution was issued on July 24, 2026, by Judge Pía Alejandra Droghetti Fuentes and is published in the Official Mining Bulletin of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile, No. 44,553, dated Thursday, September 17, 2026, Section VII, pages 1 to 4 (CVE 2869056). The auction will be held in person at the court premises, located at Urmeneta St. No. 743, Andacollo.

The legal framework and the Treasury lists

The publication is ordered in accordance with Article 147 of the Mining Code, which requires the dissemination of the resolution and the respective lists for two different days in the special supplement of the Official Gazette called the Official Mining Bulletin. The Regional Treasury of Coquimbo must digitize and enter into the case, via the Virtual Office of the Judiciary, the relevant copies of the bulletin prior to the auction date.

The lists provided by the General Treasury of the Republic, dated September 7, 2026, correspond to the period 03/01/2026–02/28/2027 and to the commune of Andacollo. In total, they comprise 54 concessions: 13 exploration and 41 exploitation concessions with unpaid patents. The document is signed by Marcelo Lagos Vodanovic, regional director and acting treasurer of the Regional Treasury of Coquimbo.

Codelco’s concessions and their owed amounts

Codelco Chile, RUT 61704000-K, appears on the exploration list with seven concessions from the JADABA series, all with locations registered in coordinates:

• JADABA J 1 (national role 0410405938): billed $1,677,336, owed $1,721,304, equivalent to 24 UTM.
• JADABA J 2 (role 0410405946): billed $419,334, owed $430,326, 6 UTM.
• JADABA J 4 (role 0410406071): billed $4,193,340, owed $4,303,260, 60 UTM.
• JADABA J 5 (role 041040608K): billed $2,516,004, owed $2,581,956, 36 UTM.
• JADABA J 6 (role 0410406098): billed $1,258,002, owed $1,290,978, 18 UTM.
• JADABA J 7 (role 0410406101): billed $838,668, owed $860,652, 12 UTM.
• JADABA J 8 (role 041040611K): billed $3,354,672, owed $3,442,608, 48 UTM.

The total amount owed for these seven concessions amounts to $14,631,084, equivalent to 204 UTM.

Requirements to participate as a bidder

The court requires those interested in bidding at the auction to:

• Have the State’s unique key (clave única del Estado) active, for the eventual signing of the auction deed.
• Send a legible proof of the deposit of sufficient guarantee to participate.
• Send the background information to jlyg_andacollo_remates@pjud.cl, with a copy to jlyg_andacollo@pjud.cl.
• Do so by 2:00 PM on the business day prior to the date set for the auction.
• Indicate identification, case roll number, email address, and telephone number to coordinate participation.

The resolution also acknowledged the submitted documents and approved the auction terms indicated by the plaintiff, unless an objection is filed within three days.

Other concessions included in the list

Along with the concessions of Codelco Chile, the exploration list includes properties of other holders, such as DINA RUIS (roll 2001076011), ISABEL (roll 0410405903), KYPROS (roll 0410405962), LOS TRES PORFIADOS (roll 0410406063), MERCEDES (roll 0410405954) and MISTERIO UNO (roll 2001076852). The exploitation list, for its part, gathers 41 concessions from individual holders and legal mining companies, with amounts owed ranging from 0.1 to 20 UTM.

The auction marks a relevant milestone for the Andacollo mining district: the public auction of concessions with unpaid fees can transfer mining rights to third-party bidders, while the case continues to be processed before the Letters and Guarantee Court of Andacollo. Interested parties have until the business day prior to November 27, 2026, to prove their guarantee and coordinate their participation.
