Andújar announces awards and transport grants for the ANDUCAB 2026 competition

The Andújar City Council has approved, via Mayoral Resolution dated August 26, 2026, the call for grants “Prizes and Aid for the Transport of Livestock Farms – ANDUCAB 2026” (File 2026/DESA26000191), intended to support the XXII Morphological-Functional Competition “Ciudad de Andújar-ANDUCAB 2026” for Pure Spanish horses (PRE). The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 168, dated August 31, 2026, with BDNS identifier 926662.

The call is part of the General Strategic Grant Plan 2024-2026, with codes PRO-002 (“Livestock Transport ANDUCAB”) and PRO-003 (“Competition Prizes-ANDUCAB”), and implements the Collaboration Agreement signed between the Royal National Association of Breeders of Pure Spanish Horses (ANCCE) and the City Council on July 30, 2026. The event, included in the ANCCE 2026 Official PRE Competition Calendar as a Category 3*** Competition, will be held in the Gardens of the Parque de Colón in Andújar from September 9 to 12.

Purpose and beneficiaries

The call pursues a dual objective: to recognize the excellence of the awarded specimens and livestock farms with cash prizes, and to provide financial assistance to participating livestock farms to cover the travel costs of their specimens to Andújar. Beneficiaries of the prizes may be the breeders and presenters who emerge as winners according to the ANCCE PRE Morphological-Functional Competition Regulations, while the transport aid is directed at the livestock farms that own specimens registered and received in the competition.

Amounts and transport scale

The total credit initially available amounts to 6,000.00 euros, distributed between the two lines, and may be increased by up to 2,800.00 euros additional in the transport line as ANCCE co-financing. The cash prizes, charged to budget application 2026-765-43001-48100, are distributed as follows:

• Best Livestock Farm: 1,000 €
• Second Best Livestock Farm: 500 €
• Best Exhibitor: 500 €
• Competition Champion (Male): 750 €
• Competition Champion (Female): 750 €
• Best Presenter: 500 €

The transport aid, charged to application 2026-765-43110-47900, is calculated per transported specimen based on the distance between Andújar and the location of the livestock farm:

• From 0 to 90 km: 20 €/specimen
• From 91 to 180 km: 30 €/specimen
• From 181 to 270 km: 40 €/specimen
• More than 270 km: 50 €/specimen

Deadlines and granting regime

The awards will be granted on a competitive basis, with the contest judges evaluating the applications according to the criteria of the ANCCE Regulations. Transport grants are funded through direct award by agreement, on a non-competitive basis, in strict order of submission and until the credit is exhausted. Registration for the contest, which is free of charge, is formalized electronically at ANCCE until September 1, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., while applications for transport grants may be submitted from the day following publication until September 30, 2026, via the form provided in the Municipal Promotion Area and on the “TE INTERESA” website, sending the documentation to anducabandujar@gmail.com.
