The agreement was recorded in the Order of October 19, 2026, from the Department of Presidency, Justice and Sports, published in the Official Gazette of Galicia (Diario Oficial de Galicia) no. 205, dated October 27, 2026, with official reference CVE-DOG: fvmdgao2-yqu9-2ri1-uwa9-yfkjjndpufx2.
A September call and a jury that met in October
The call originated from the Order of August 27, 2026, published in the DOG no. 167, dated September 3, 2026, under procedure code DE401A. The regulation was issued under Law 3/2012, of April 2, on Galician Sport, which in article 5.1.e) grants the regional Administration the competence to convene awards and distinctions for the promotion of sport.
According to the publication order itself, once the deadline for submitting proposals had closed, the qualifying jury session took place on October 14, 2026, issuing its granting agreement. The call established 18 categories and allowed for special mentions by proposal and resolution of the jury; the annex of the published resolution finally lists 19 numbered distinctions, by separating the female and male revelation categories and incorporating an award for the best inclusive team.
The previous edition corresponded to the 2023 and 2024 fiscal years, convened by the Order of August 4, 2025, and resolved by the Order of September 1, 2025. The awards are presented solemnly in a public act, with a trophy and an accrediting diploma for each winner.
