The call was approved by a resolution dated October 15, 2026, from the Local Government Board and is published in the Official Gazette of the Historical Territory of Álava (BOTHA) number 123, dated October 26, 2026, with official reference 2026-02991 and identifier BDNS 935789.
The summary is disseminated under articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and refers to the full text available in the National Database of Subsidies. The document is signed by the mayor, José Ramón Molinuevo Laña, dated October 16, 2026, in Amurrio.
Rules approved in August and two lines of aid
The call is governed by Rule 39 of the regulatory bases for subsidies of the Amurrio City Council, published in BOTHA number 91, of August 12, 2026, under the title “Regulatory Ordinance for the municipal program of training grants aimed at unemployed persons.”
The program aims to promote employment and the connection of unemployed persons with companies through non-labor internships, organized into two lines:
- Grants subject to Lanbide instruction within the framework of Royal Decree 1493/2011.
- Grants subject to Lanbide instruction within the framework of Royal Decree 1543/2011, for young people under 25, or under 30 registered in the National Youth Guarantee System.
The rules establish that 50 percent of the budget shall be allocated to each line, although the full amount may be assigned to a single line when only that modality is called. Funding is provided by budget item 26.1.26.1.24116.480, titled “training grants.”
Requirements: residency, Lanbide, and Amurrio Bidean training
Applicants must meet and document the requirements before the deadline expires. These include:
- Being registered as a resident in the municipality of Amurrio.
- Participating in a training program organized by Amurrio Bidean within the framework of the Basque Country Operational Program 2021-2027.
- Being unemployed and registered with Lanbide as a job seeker.
- Not receiving another grant or aid for the same or a similar purpose.
- Not engaging in paid employment during the period of the grant.
For the Royal Decree 1543/2011 line, it is additionally required to have completed university undergraduate studies, a higher or intermediate vocational training cycle, artistic or sports education, or a professional certificate, and not to have accumulated more than three months of experience in the same activity.
Ten-day deadline and 830 euros per month
The application period opens the day after the publication of the summary in the BOTHA, that is, October 27, and extends until ten days later, November 5, 2026. Applications are to be submitted to the general registry of the Amurrio City Council, located at Juan de Urrutia square, no number, in accordance with Law 39/2015, of October 1.
Each scholarship is endowed with 830 gross euros per month, including IRPF withholding, and has a duration of six months, paid in six installments. The dedication is 30 hours per week, with a minimum of 720 hours in the overall count and a maximum of 40 hours per week, with no night shifts.
The assessment of merits corresponds to an evaluation commission composed of technical personnel from the economic promotion department and Amurrio Bidean, which will submit the proposal for granting or denial to the Local Government Board. The scale scores qualifications, time unemployed, age, master’s degrees and courses, languages, and driver’s license.
Impact for the municipality’s job seekers
The call offers a pathway to the labor market for unemployed youth in Amurrio who participate in municipal training itineraries, providing a non-repayable financial aid and internships in companies. The short window of ten days to submit the application forces interested parties to quickly gather the required documentation, which includes the Amurrio Bidean certificate, the Lanbide registration period report, and the employment history.
