Ampudia puts the stone pine cones of Monte Torozos up for auction

The Ampudia City Council has called for an auction to award the harvesting of pine cones from the stone pine species of the Public Utility Forest no. 415, known as “Monte Torozos,” owned by this council. The call is formalized through the Mayoral Resolution no. 2026-0299, dated August 20, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Palencia number 102, dated August 26, 2026.

The announcement, signed by Mayor José Luis Gil Marcos, opens a bidding procedure under ordinary processing, an open procedure, and an auction format subject to final settlement. This represents an economic opportunity for the local forestry sector, which may apply for the exploitation of a publicly owned pine forest in the Tierra de Campos region.

Object and conditions of the contract

The contract, identified by file no. 479/2026, aims to harvest stone pine cones from the Monte Torozos of Ampudia, within the forest’s pine mass. The execution period extends from the date of the delivery act, which shall not be earlier than November 11, 2026, until April 10, 2027.

  • Bidding type: 2,500.00 euros upwards, to which the corresponding VAT will be added.
  • Provisional guarantee: 50.00 euros.
  • Definitive guarantee: 5% of the award price.
  • Harvesting method: by vibration, with mechanized harvesting authorized.
  • Advertising expenses: borne by the successful bidder.

Submission of bids and opening

Bids may be submitted at the General Registry of the Ampudia City Council and through its electronic office, within a period of twenty days starting from the publication of the bidding announcement on the State Procurement Platform. Documentation and information can be obtained from the council’s electronic office and the platform itself.

The opening of bids will take place at the Ampudia City Council, at Plaza de San Miguel, 2, on the second business day following the end of the submission period, at thirteen o’clock.
