Deadline extended to lease the rustic estates of Javierregay
Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Puente la Reina de Jaca has extended the deadline for submitting lease applications for the municipal heritage rural estates located in Javierregay, as well as the date for the opening of bids. This was agreed upon in the Mayoral Resolution of September 14, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 176, dated September 15, 2026 (reference BOPH-2026-176010).
Applications may be submitted until 11:00 AM on September 25, 2026, and the opening of proposals will take place on the same day at 11:30 AM at the town hall. This measure corrects the calendar initially established in the specifications, which had scheduled the deadline for September 24.
A competition for six heritage plots
The lease is processed via competition, in accordance with the Mayoral Decree of August 27, 2026, which approved the specifications published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 164, dated August 28, 2026 (reference BOPH-2026-164019). This is a private contract, under article 9 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts, and Law 33/2003, of November 3, on the Heritage of Public Administrations.
The six estates up for competition, with their area and initial annual price, are as follows:
- Polygon 1, plot 48, Chinebral: 0.3842 ha, €32/year.
- Polygon 2, plot 23, El Sorteo: 7.4962 ha, €1,536/year.
- Polygon 3, plot 51, La Huerta: 0.6538 ha, €185/year.
- Polygon 3, plot 88, Santa Lucía: 0.6458 ha, €201/year.
- Polygon 4, plot 17, Artal: 0.2330 ha, €33/year.
- Polygon 4, plot 33, Artal: 0.3640 ha, €111/year.
Award to the highest bidder and contract conditions
The sole award criterion is the highest lease price offered for each asset; proposals lower than the initial price will be automatically discarded. In the event of a tie, the award will be decided by lottery. Each bidder may submit a single offer per estate in a sealed “Type A” envelope containing the administrative documentation, the economic proposal, and the responsible declaration.
The contract will have a duration of five non-renewable years, until September 29, 2031 (San Miguel). The annual rent shall be paid in advance before September 30 of each year, although the first payment must be made before October 30, 2026. The land may only be used for agricultural exploitation; forestry or woody uses, construction works, and subletting are prohibited.
How to participate
Offers shall be submitted to the Town Hall of Puente la Reina de Jaca, at calle Molino, s/n, 22753 Puente la Reina de Jaca (Huesca), during public office hours (Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 14:00). Natural and legal persons, Spanish or foreign, with full legal capacity to act, who prove to be up to date with their tax and Social Security obligations, may apply. The file may be examined at the Secretariat of the town council, and the responsible declaration and economic proposal forms (Annexes I and II) will be provided by the Town Hall itself.
The extension of the deadline provides a new opportunity for those interested in these municipally-owned plots, in a municipality of the Jacetania region where the agricultural exploitation of patrimonial lands constitutes a relevant resource for local activity. The public opening of the offers on September 25 will allow the result of the competition and the destination of these estates for the next five years to be known immediately.
